This is just a so-so light. I like the size of it fits in your pocket and doesn't get in the way. But I've found the button is hard to find and press to turn on the light. I don't think the cob area light is bright enough to really use for much. I've also found out the magnet is useless because the length of the light causes it to fall. The actual flashlight has a decent beam and I like the charging indicator. I would rather have just a small bright flashlight but this isn't to bad.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Coast PM50R is a compact but bright LED flashlight

The Coast® rechargeable dual beam area flashlight, model # PM50R, is a compact and light weight “pen light” type flashlight that packs many handy features to have and use. First, it comes with a built-in rechargeable Coast® Zithion battery which has over a 9-hour operating time, when fully charged, plus it throws a bright white LED (Light Emitting Diode) 185 lumen spotlight beam up to distance of 67 meter or 219 feet. On one of the body sides, it has a 1 1/4" long row of dual level high power/low power LED’s that light up in a flood style pattern to clearly illuminate the work area. It also has a very strong magnetic end cap to position the light body itself in place on metal (steel) ferrous surfaces when using it or when it is stored. Also, another nice feature is it has a bank of 4 LED battery power monitor lights to show you, in real time, how much battery power is left on this charge and when it needs to be recharged. This light is IP54 rated for dust and water contact, so it is durable to stand up to many harsh environments. It comes with a built-in USB-C charging port and charging cord and a handy pocket clip that is used when the light is carried in a shirt pocket, tool bag, or even in a briefcase. I always carry this “pen light” type flashlight in my coat pocket especially when I go out at night or when I travel on the subway underground in the tunnels in case of emergencies. I feel very safe in having and using this flashlight as I travel about especially in a power outage!

Bright spot beam! Incredible battery life!

First of all there must be some kind of sorcery down at Coast. I got this light and I always test how long the light will stay on brightest mode. Well I turned on the highest setting on the "flood setting and put on my refrigerator so I could monitor from the other room.I watched it for about an hour and fell asleep. Woke up over 2 hours later and was still bright! that internal battery last far longer than I imagined it ever would. And the spot light is pretty incredible for its size. Absolutely a great vehicle light, Bug out bag or heck give one to your kids so they stop using yours! The only thing I could complain about it that I wish coast would make the switches easier to see. in the dark with a bright light it can be hard to see the switch. Maybe a light color like yellow or lime green? Definitely worth the money and great gift for folks

Perfect Inspection Light

This light packs a lot of little features in it that maintains practicality and still gives you plenty of extras. The forward facing beam is like any other pen light. The magnet on the bottom is strong enough to support the weight of the light sideways, and in conjunction with the side facing light, can be used to illuminate your work space hands free. The light also has measuring marks along the side that make use of the existing body of the light, but I have not yet had any instance where I used this as I don’t know how reliable I can measure using a flashlight. The light is rechargeable, as are all of my lights I use in the garage, so it’s very easy to maintain a charge and not keep up with batteries. The polymer body of the light makes it super light weight, my only concern would be dropping it in fluids such as coolant, but so far I really like this light.

This light is perfect for my everyday day use. It's light weight, bright and perfect for daily use! It has a clip to secure for easy access and a magnet for hands free use! The best thing about this little light is it has a indicator on it for the battery life and it's rechargeable!
