Have used this twice, compared to my 20v B&D there is no comparison. While the B&D may be lighter, the extra time spent using it to cut through branches as compared to the Greenworks actually makes for more work. The Greenworks makes short work of every branch I used it on up to 3 inches (so far). Highly recommend it if you have use for such a tool.

Hello Chad787,
Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention! New chains tend to stretch, the chain is correctly tensioned when there is no sag on the underside of the guide bar and when the chain is snug but can be turned by hand without binding. We would recommend reviewing the tensioning steps as outlined in your instruction manual. If you wish to discuss your concerns about chain please contact Greenworks at 1-888-909-675 or start a live chat on www.greenworkstools.com.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pole saw is a little heavy vs the corded clippers in have , but it works well. The pole saw works very good also , you just need to check the chain tension after doinga lot of cutting. I am happy with my purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had used my neighbors combo kit. And was impressed so I ordered this set. The main difference was the length of the pole saw blade. When trying to trim arborvitae, the pole saw was terrible. I had a very difficult time keeping the chain on. I believe that the 10" chain stretched more than the 8" chain, allowing the twigs to get between the chain and the bar causing the chain to come off. Next time I go to trim my arborvitae, I will purchase a shorter bar and chain.

Hello Crainhunter, We're sorry to hear you are unhappy with your Greenworks pole Saw. The Pole Saw has a cut capacity of 1.2" hedge cut capacity; a 10" diameter cut capacity Removing dead branches is one thing, but removing large sections of a live tree can be stressful to the plant. Aim to remove no more than a third of the shrub per season. Consistent trimmings over time are better than removing much of your arborvitae in one go. It's important to exercise caution and ensure the tool is suitable for the specific hedge type and condition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The saw works very well once I figured the chain tension out. The one disadvantage to this saw is the chain tightener located under the bar, hard to get to and seems fragile. Over all the saw seems worth the money. I do like the angle of the bar, makes cutting easier.
Pros: Convenient, Quiet, Environmentally Safe
