I am totally satisfied with the 10" pole saw. I would give it a 5-star rating. I am a first-time user of any type of pole saw.Directions for assembly and use are clearly written and easy to do. It is very light and powerful. I also have a GreenWorks leaf blower using the same 60 v battery which also has my 5-star rating.I went ahead and bought the battery and charger for the saw because of the interchangeability.I am 80 years old and not particularly strong but can still handle it because of the lighter battery.I may never buy another gasoline model tool of any type.. I am wondering how long the chain will last and where to buy a replacement.

To start, I have a garage full of Greenworks tools, from zero turn mowers to weed eaters. When I wanted to purchase a pole saw and a hedge trimmer, I didn't even look at other sites. To give an honest review, the supplied 2ah battery doesn't last very long with the pole saw, and marginally longer with the hedge trimmer. This wasn't a concern for my situation, because I have a bank of batteries from my other tools. I used about three 2ah batteries for trimming a large tree of its dead limbs. I was a large job though. The supplied battery would work for most seasonal tree trimming you would need to do. Cant stress enough about reading the battery manual and storing the batteries as recommended. Batteries are not cheap, I haven't had any battery loss by storing them correctly.
The hedge trimmer works wonderfully. I found it a bit cumbersome, only until I put on the supplied shoulder strap, to take most of the weight of the machine. Both tools uncoupled from the extension pole very easily. Attached it gives more pole when you need it, but without it makes the trimmer much easier on the small stuff. The Trimmer also has an adjustable angle and locks the cutting edge at several different positive and negative settings. I found it easy enough to set it up, and trim all the hedges on my property.

Finally got around to using this pole saw and WOW! Cuts through the branches like butter. I tightened the chain 2 times on the first few cuts and no time after that. Have cut up to over 50 to 60 branches of all sizes and the battery hardly comes down. Very impressed with the tool. I have a cousin getting one because he was impressed also.

My son, an old school - gas is better - thinker, tried it and couldn’t put it down. Don’t forget to get extra chain lube, once you get started you won’t want to stop!
With all extensions, it is very long. Leaving out the middle extension is plenty.

I don’t know what else to call something this long, this powerful, and this challenging to the unsuspecting or disrespectful.
But for attacking those bare high branches that Northwest loggers call widow makers, you couldn’t find a better — to quote Arlo Guthrie’s Alice’s Restaurant — implement of destruction.
And once you take its measure, it’s a blast to use.
The saw arrives in multiple pieces, one of which is attached to the power unit. That’s the one with the saw. The other is mated to the battery compartment and the controls.
The saw parts limbs from their trunk so fast you almost don’t believe it until the branch crashes to the ground. To shield your noggin, you’ll need a hart hat, one with a facemask unless you want wood chips in your eyes, nose and mouth.
But before you make that first cut, read the manual and believe the part that says the power head pushes back at you as soon as you pull the trigger.
An ordinary chainsaw pulls itself into the cut. On an undercut, this machine does the opposite — at the end of a 9-foot-long pole.
But fast? Yahshooryoobetcha, as the old Swedish immigrant loggers used to say. On my first job, I dropped a dozen branches up to 3 inches thick from a towering lodgepole pine in about 10 minutes.
Got kindling?

Simple to use pole saw and hedge trimmer. Works as intended. Pole saw is a bit cumbersome if not careful while maneuvering. Pole saw cut through 3 inch branches with ease. Hedge trimmer works great. Pole allows you to get to the hard to reach places. While the extensions give us farther reach, it can be a bit tricky to balance at times. Removing and adding extensions can be a bit tricky if you don't line up arrows.

Greenworks pole saw .... for a 5 foot tall female who maintains own property, this tool is essential ! I no longer have to depend on others to help. The took is light and easy to handle. No gas to worry about. This is my 5th GW tool !
