Pro 60V 13" Cordless String Trimmer & Leaf Blower

These have performed better than expected. While my property is only 60' x 100' I can use both the blower and edger on 1 charge. Only issue is the weight of the battery - it is significantly heavier than the 40V.
I plan to buy an hedger and a chainsaw in the near future.

Nice blower, but battery drains completely

This works really nice as a blower - but you can't leave the battery in it, even unused, for two days - as the unit drains the battery completely. Initially, Greenworks said the unit was defective - but then changed their mind and said it's normal. I have many cordless tools - and the battery does not self-drain. I have a friend who is an EE and an industrial engineer for a major mfr - he says the motor controller is either defective or poorly designed. Either way, it's a hassle to remove the battery after every use. I expect better from Greenworks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Thank you for taking the time voice your concerns.
We do advise customers to remove the battery from the charger after it has been fully charged and to also unplug the charger from the outlet, as this is good electrical safety practice to do so. This will also help to prevent false defects reading and allows the charger to reset itself each time it is used to charge a battery.
When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life.

I bought the weed trimmer and blower combo and I am very pleased. I trimmed my entire yard and used the blower to clean up driveway, sidewalks, and patio…STILL HAD 1/2 RESERVE IN BATTERY! The variable speed trigger in the blower is well designed! The ability to use .80 trimmer line means much less line is used!
