Bought this for my dad after owning one myself for several years. I own 5 products in this 60V line and they are all excellent! This string trimmer is sturdy, the battery lasts more than long enough to finish your yard, and provides plenty of power! Added bonus that the string feed works properly with minimal breakage (unlike other brands I've used!).
Huge step up for those of you considering switching from gas powered. Minimal maintenance, no gas or oil to store, and you don't have to spend 30 minutes trying to get the machine to start!

Doesn't always work

I got this to upgrade from an old cheap 24v trimmer. Multiple times every time ive used it, on occasion when pressing the trigger it seems to jerk a little but then wont turn on. It refuses to turn on after pulling the trigger multiple times and the only way to get it running again is to completely remove the battery and put it back in. I wouldnt expect this from a high end trimmer when my low end one never had this problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This trimmer is really powerful and worked for all my needs when I have to cut the grass or trim the edge. Only difficulty is to wind the string and I find it little hard.
