Great mower

All pros would be compared to the
previous GEN model. It has a Longer shaft and overall length. It has better balanced with the battery fixated vertically. The easy feed head works by inserting the string through the eyelet and then turn the knob. I manly use the low speed but on high is where it shines on 3 foot wheat growing on my second lot. The 2ah high capacity battery is enough to trim a 500 feet of bedding and concrete. I would recommend the 5ah battery if you are going to clear a full 1/4 acre lot or have a large yard. IMO I prefer the trimmer due to its longer length and easy feed head I'm 6ft on the dot and don't have to stoop over like I did with the previous GEN modle. As for durability it's a solid feeling and for longevity only time will tell.

Quiet but powerful

My old gas trimmer finally bit the dust, so I purchased this battery powered string trimmer and am so happy I did. I do not have to wear ear protection when I use this since it runs so quietly and I think this is even more powerful than my previous gas model. I was surprised at how much I was able to trim and still had plenty of battery left. I used this on the highest speed and was able to have the string trimmer run for more than 30 minutes and still had 1/2 of my battery life remaining. The battery charges from dead to full in just over an hour> I like keeping my tools organized, so was very happy I could easily hang this trimmer from a nail in my wall. Forget about gas - go battery power!

Too heavy and string runs out too quickly. Not good for use as an edger.

Hello Wags,

We are terribly sorry to hear about this experience. We strive to provide a quality product and a great customer service encounter. It's normal for the cutting line to wear down as you use it, but the trimmer line can wear faster than you expect if you're cutting tough or thick weeds, if you're cutting against hard surfaces such as rocks and walls, or if the line is spinning too fast.
To preserve cutting line when cutting thick weeds or against hard surfaces, don't crowd the trimmer head into the area you're cutting. Instead, slide the cutting head slowly toward the cutting area so you use the tip of the cutting line. And ease off on the throttle to properly control the speed of the cutting head, especially when cutting against hard surfaces.
We would be interested in hearing more about this issue. Please submit an email using the customer contact page on our website or give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 (1-888-90WORKS).

Sold my old 4-stroke for this guy. It’s amazing. I love the high and low speed setting (only adjusts the max speed; the DC motor allows fantastic control of motor speed with the trigger). The right balance is also MUCH better than any other I’ve tried.
