the machine runs well. not any heaver than a gas powered unit. the shoulder harness takes a bit of adjustment to get a good fit. the string sent with the unit is not up to par. I got a different string and went to town on the weeds! the noise of the string is nothing compared to a gas engine. read the instructions, they have a tip about using an angle to cut down weeds it is very easy and works very well !!! my box was destroyed in shipping and the allen wrench went missing. (thus the 4) very happy to have others know the power of this unit is better than some gas powered units and no mix and gas or pulling. big plus! I have a 5 acre homestead and the rain has not stopped for a few weeks now and the weeds are 5' or so high in places. where they are only 2' i go right through them! just saying. have a quality cut with this weed EATER !

Operates as promised. Works flawlessly. Great battery life allows completion of trimming without interruption. The same is true of a mower by Greenworks previously purchased.

I spent quite a bit of time trying to find the balance of cost and performance of a battery-powered string trimmer, and I'm very pleased with my selection! The Pro 60V option with 2.5 Ah battery from Greenworks provides enough runtime and power to meet my needs. I trim about 500 linear feet of lawn about once per week, and edge about 250 feet of that same area. I always run the trimmer on the faster of the 2 speed settings, and I'm still left with 1 bar of 4 on the battery afterwards. I don't worry about running out of juice, and not having to stop and wait for a recharge while I'm already out sweating in the yard is SO nice!
My only complaint is small, but when orienting the trimmer for edge work, having the motor in the trimmer head doesn't feel as balanced as when using it for trim work. Maybe I just need to find a different way to hold the trimmer so that it doesn't "feel" as heavy when edging, but that's the price paid for a device where the motor is in the trimmer head instead of up in the handle with the battery.

After a significant amount of research, I purchased a Greenworks Pro CRZ 426 this spring. I was immediately impressed, and throughout the summer have had need to purchase several other tools (Greenworks 60v 16" chainsaw and Greenworks 60v blower). The chainsaw will be used this fall, but the blower gets used frequently. Several weeks ago, my Craftsman 32cc 4 cycle string trimmer died (It's approx 12 years old). Having several attachments for it (string head, tiller, and cultivator, I wanted a new head unit that would be compatible with them. Greenworks offers a 60v model that is attachment compatible, and I already had several additional 60v batteries, so it made sense to buy it, even though it was a little more money. It arrived quickly and I have used the trimmer head and edger. The balance feels a bit different than my old Craftsman, but not ackward, there's far less vibration than the old gas engine.

Works well. Very Quiet! Standard string not durable enough for edging around stonescaping. Will be installing thicker string when the std stuff runs out.

Works well and light weight. We got the tool only because we have the twin battery 60v mower, and it barely uses a whole battery when mowing the lawn. Doesn't really matter anyhow because I noticed the charge times are surprisingly fast. How fast? I'm not sure because every time I go back to check it's progress it's fully charged. I'm going to have to check sooner to get an idea of charge times. LOL
