Been a long time user of two cycle weed eaters. Always having issues with getting them started. Not with the Pro 60V 16 inch, Wow, this thing is powerful. I am able to clean out the long ditch in no time and do not need to worry about mixing fuel, hoping and praying the weed eater would start. This thing, pull the trigger and go to work. Very happy with this purchase. Just wondering why I took so long to make the switch. Thank you Greenworks for a very nice and workaholic weed eater.
I am very impressed with the Greenworks 60V Trimmer. I think it is much easier to use than my old gas trimmer and just as powerful. If it hits an obstacle it will shut off automatically but I can easily start it again. Because I'm an old guy, I conveniently use the provided support strap to wear around my neck to help me carry the weight of the trimmer. I love this product. It works better than advertised and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get rid of those hard to start heavier gas engine trimmers. Battery life so far has not been an issue. Although I do use this battery for backup when using my other Greenworks products which sometimes do run out of battery power such as their powerful 60V Leaf blower. However, It would be great if Greenworks would reduce the cost of their batteries so that we can afford to buy spares.
After years of owning corded units, I decided to go with the convenience of a cordless product. Having read many reviews it appeared that the Greenworks 60V Pro was the trimmer of choice. BIG MISTAKE! It has never gone more than 10 to 15 feet without jamming or failing to feed line. Even though I have extensive time with trimmers I re-read the manual, reviewed videos online, etc. to ensure I was correctly winding the spool, it always jammed. A wasted purchase for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Stosh,
Thank you for your honest feedback! It does take some force in order to turn the head, however, over time it usually works itself in! Be sure that you do not have too much line in the spool and that there are no obstructions in the trimmer head causing this reaction. Hope this helps, if you are able to please give our customer care team a call when you are with your String Trimmer, they would be happy to assist you with this. This battery-powered trimmer has taken out the hassles of weed-whacking. My gas-powered engine often stopped and required restarting, and the cord often got tangled. These are no longer issues. Not having to breath fumes from gas-powered engines at such close proximity is a notable perk, and the Pro 60V has remarkable power.
I think the shaft is a bit too long. Certainly longer than any trimmer I have ever worked with. I’m also using the belt to get a good balance . It’s that I think in some situations you need to trim at an angle for the head and the length makes it difficult to do. I like the power of the unit even in the slower speed. Not too heavy so not getting tired maneuvering it for longer periods. BAttery seems to last as long as I need it for my one acre trim.
