Better than I had hoped for

Bought this to replace a previous Greenworks tool (I needed a heavier duty one). Still have my older model, but this thing cleared 2' deep, thick foliage including blackberries. Plenty of power. Took some getting used to to keep from getting the long grasses wound up in the drive motor, but after working with it I figures out that using it correctly it would "unclog" itself. The added shoulder sling made a big difference too. Battery charges rapidly and the fan in the charger cooled the hot battery quickly to make charging easy. Would buy again, but if it lasts like my older Greenworks model, I won't need to. (would like it to be a little longer from the handle to the cutter

It is compatible with Ryobi Expand-It edger attachment. I may also buy the cultivator. The 4Ahr battery is a nice addition to my mower. I might be now able to mow my whole lawn in a day!

Ryobi Expand-it does not work

I just purchased this product few weeks ago for home DIY needs along with many other greenworks set up (chainsaw, mower, hedge trimmer, blower, etc). String trimmer itself seems to work fine but brush cutter attachment from Ryobi does not work. I am experiencing identical issues that many other posted on this product. It spins for a second then stops. I checked the connection over and over. I would like to return this product if possible as attachment capable was a huge reason why I choose this specific unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Trimmer is GOOD,

I have 4 60 volt tools all are viewed favorably - BUT - the string sold by GREENWORKS is less than desirable. I can’t get past a foot of cutting with having to tap for another serving. I’ve tried EVERYthing I could to swap to a better/ generic head for better Stri g and easier re-filling the spool. Even the preloaded spools are a challenge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the trimmer with attachments capabilities few months ago. Trimmer has lots of power and works great. The let down is that there’s no edger attachment available to buy so I been using the string trimmer to do the edging on my lawn but it takes way too long.
I understand the shortage of supplies due to the pandemic. I contacted Greenworks hopping to know when is the attachment going to be available or what other attachment brands will work with their trimmer but got no answer. So here I am, passed mid summer and still can’t use a product the way it was intended.
