I have used gas trimmers for years. I was pleasantly surprised by my new electric trimmer. It has already exceeded my expectations and I have since ordered and used a Greenworks chain saw. I am loving it as well. I will recommend your product line anytime. Looking to purchase a walk behind mower within the next year…******stars
This is the second Greenworks tool I’ve bought in the past three weeks. I am happy with the Pro 60v 26” hedge trimmer so the Pro 60V 16” string trimmer replaced my gas 16” trimmer which has been great over the years, but I was just tired of dealing with ethanol related fuel issues, having to drain the pre-mix so not to sit for extended periods of time. The starting and the noise also made me want to go battery power, after using this Pro 60v 16” today for the first time was so nice. It works perfectly, and I never felt the need to use power 2 at all and the variable speed worked great. The guard being wider than my old trimmer is going to take some getting used to as it restricts seeing where the line is cutting, but there is better protection from flying debris. After an hour of trimming there was no loss on the 2.5 battery. Even though it looks heavier and bulkier than my gas trimmer, it is actually lighter and easier to use. Also nice not having the volume up so high while using ear buds, compared to a gas engine. Appearance is a little weird though, I just need to get used to it. But, I’m sold on Greenworks, 60v mower is next.
This is a recent purchase, so the trimmer hasnt been used a lot. That being said, it has been great. Starts right up, and of course no messing around with gas, oil, and pull cord. It has a larger guard, which will take getting used to, but in the long run will be appreciated. Bought the tool only, as it will share the 60v batteries already purchased for the mower and blower. Pleased with all!
So, I received this version of the trimmer when I called asking about my 13-inch trimmer that stopped working. Amazingly, customer service was able to find my purchase information and replaced it just like that. Received it less than a week later!
Anyway, it's easy enough to set up. They give you the Alan Wrench to tighten everything up. Always nice to have another one of those. It's heavy, but well-balanced. I'm used to using the 13-inch, and the 16-inch is much heftier.
However, I've only used it for a few moments because of one glaring fault: The trimmer throws all the debris BACK AT THE USER because of the direction of spin on the trimmer head. Even with the guard, I'm getting rocks and dirk kicked back at me I never had to worry about before. I doubt there is a way to reverse the trimmer head direction, either. Kind of disappointed thus far, and may have to rethink other options.

Not happy with this product. Weed eater does not let out extra line with bum technology. Have to manually twist. Want to return!!

Hello there,
We're sorry to hear you're having issues with the line feed. If the string trimmer is not releasing line it's either not being bumped often enough or the lines are still on the notches of the spools.
Let us explain how the line feed works. This is a bump n feed unit and line extend about 1/4 inch each time you bump the knob on the ground. The more often you do this the more line extends. You can have to do this more frequently if you're trimming around areas that may break the line more often.
The other thing you want to note is that the line is off the spool notches. If the lines are still on the notches it will not allow the line to extend.
Hope this helps!

My new trimmer works very well. I've only used it twice, but it's able to do the edges of my entire yard with barely draining the battery at all. The string it's shipped with is sturdy and cuts through everything I needed. I will say this trimmer is longer and heavier than my previous trimmer (it was a corded version, so no heavy batteries). But I'll take those tradeoffs for the convenience of not having to trail an extension cord everywhere I go.
