Won't Feed The Line. Useless.

After years of owning corded units, I decided to go with the convenience of a cordless product. Having read many reviews it appeared that the Greenworks 60V Pro was the trimmer of choice. BIG MISTAKE! It has never gone more than 10 to 15 feet without jamming or failing to feed line. Even though I have extensive time with trimmers I re-read the manual, reviewed videos online, etc. to ensure I was correctly winding the spool, it always jammed. A wasted purchase for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Maybe my favorite Greenworks Tool ?

This may be the best product in the line-up. I was sold a few years ago on the switch from gas trimmers to battery. You can't beat the reliability and hassle free maintenance. I replaced my less powerful batter with this trimmer and the difference is night and day. I have sections of English Ivy around the outside of my yard which required regular trimming . This thing is always powerful enough and battery life is not an issue. It also edges pretty well. Loading trimmer line is the easiest system I've ever used. If I could only buy one 60V product I'd start here.

I purchased this string trimmer about a month ago to replace an aging gas trimmer that I had rebuilt several times over the years. I use to dread having to pull out the gas string trimmer in hopes that it would decide to cooperate that day. Well this is no longer an issue as you just pop in a freshly charged battery and you are good to go! This thing has enough power to cut through dense overgrown grass and weeds without a hiccup, and the 4ah battery has more than enough run time for my half acre lot (only use about half the battery). The attachment capable design allows me to connect it to the previous edger attachment I already owned, furthering the versatility of this unit.

String feeder doesn’t work

The unit must be turned on and you will need to tap the bump knob on the ground to release additional line. Trimmer line of about 1/4" will feed out each time you bump the head. As long the mechanics for the line release are understood and exercise you should have no issues releasing line. We hope this information has been helpful. Peace and quiet...

If I managed a vacation destination, I would have all of my maintenance done with greenworks tools. I spent a week at the beach and every...single...day we listened to the drone of weed eaters, edgers and blowers. I got home yesterday and fired up my greenworks trimmer to start my spring cleaning in the yard and was reminded of how quiet this stuff is. I spent a couple of hours trimming, edging and blowing around the yard and my family can talk to me while I work!
I would recommend this to a friend!
