Maybe my favorite Greenworks Tool ?

This may be the best product in the line-up. I was sold a few years ago on the switch from gas trimmers to battery. You can't beat the reliability and hassle free maintenance. I replaced my less powerful batter with this trimmer and the difference is night and day. I have sections of English Ivy around the outside of my yard which required regular trimming . This thing is always powerful enough and battery life is not an issue. It also edges pretty well. Loading trimmer line is the easiest system I've ever used. If I could only buy one 60V product I'd start here.

I bought this tool from U.S.A. because it was not available in Canada, it is much improved over any Canadian model, I would not recommend any model unless it has the adjustable shoulder strap saving the spool head if you balance it so it does not ever touch the ground. The load-and-go head is much better than a self wrapping spool, but still after decades of plastic spool covers you still make them out of plastic when they should be made of titanium, Get It Together, be the first, make me a tempered titanium head with metal gears for string release I can test it and you will realize people will pay extra for them because plastic just will never be strong enough against rocks, asphalt and bricks and grass. This Canadian models head was worn out in two summers. T-I-T-A-N-I-U-M. Please!

I previously purchased the 60v mower and blower, which are very good. The 60v trimmer is awful. Awkward to handle, the bump feed almost never works, and I had to restring it every 10 minutes. Extremely dissatisfied with the trimmer, I'm going to just give it away if I can't return it. And why is there no customer service email address on the site?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

For the best control and balance, ensure that you hold the trimmer by both the switch handle and the auxiliary handle. Stand with the cutting head tipped down at an angle in front, guiding the grass trimmer/edger in a semicircular motion around you. If possible, guide the grass trimmer/edger to the left to cut. The line will cut as soon as it leaves the guard, and the clippings are thrown away from you. If the grass trimmer/edger is not cutting correctly, the cutting line may not be feeding properly and it’s possible that the spool just needs to be removed and rewound - this can also affect the balance. We have included two videos below in the hopes they will better improve your experience with the trimmer.

String feeder doesn’t work

I like greenworks but string feeder is useless. It never works.

The unit must be turned on and you will need to tap the bump knob on the ground to release additional line. Trimmer line of about 1/4" will feed out each time you bump the head. As long the mechanics for the line release are understood and exercise you should have no issues releasing line. We hope this information has been helpful. Peace and quiet...

If I managed a vacation destination, I would have all of my maintenance done with greenworks tools. I spent a week at the beach and every...single...day we listened to the drone of weed eaters, edgers and blowers. I got home yesterday and fired up my greenworks trimmer to start my spring cleaning in the yard and was reminded of how quiet this stuff is. I spent a couple of hours trimming, edging and blowing around the yard and my family can talk to me while I work!

Very good product. Battery charges quickly and tool lasts a long time - over and hour and a half. Unit seems well balanced and quite powerful. Shoulder strap helps balance and ease the weight of the unit
