Heavier than my little electric trimmer, but made up for it with lots of long lasting power, capable of cutting a field that hadn’t been mowed all season.

I don't know if it works. The tool arrived unusable. The lower part does not connect to the upper part as the mechanism to lock them together does not work. The tool got delivered mid October 2021 and no answer from support as of 11/10/2021

I purchased my 60 volt Greenworks mower three years ago and love it. It mows 4000 sq ft of lawn twice before charging is needed. Last year I purchased the 60 volt Greenworks chainsaw to clear the deadfall from my property in Wyoming. By time the battery needs charging I am ready for a break. Now I bought the string trimmer and it works great! No more loud engines and gasoline fumes.

Line Feed Difficult

Product received with no defects and had it for about six months. Putting the line head on is difficult. Does not snap into place easily. Had to get a male neighbor to help. After replacing the line the first time, only one side would feed. Took apart the head as per instructions which is not the easiest. Once again getting the head to "snap" back in place was difficult. Line feed worked for about ten minutes then again one side would not feed. I didn't purchase this as a single line trimmer. Very disappointed in the trimmer and will have to look for another brand. I have several other Greenworks products which I really like but this trimmer is awful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello KB704,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of the challenge you are experiencing with your string trimmer. One of the highlights of the Greenworks Pro string trimmer has to do with the Load N’ Go trimmer head. The trimmer head on this unit is made for easy replacement of the string on the spool. We understand that for some new customers this task may seem overwhelming/difficult but once they do it a few times it’s quite easy – as easy as replacing a spool. It’s also cheaper and more convenient for customers to rewind the trimmer head because they can use any generic .080” trimmer line(purchased at your local hardware store) and save money on more costly replacement spools. You will need approximately 15' of trimmer line at .080"/.095" in diameter. Note the hash mark on the knob and the hash mark on the spool cover, while holding the spool cover in place with one hand, turn the knob until the hash mark line up with the hash mark on the spool cover. Then take the trimmer line and feed it through one of the holes in the side of the head until there is an even amount on both sides. Then wind the line into the spool by turning the knob clockwise. If you wish to readjust the line or if the line has been wound too short, push down on the knob and wind it counterclockwise. Be sure to leave about 5 inches of slack on each side of the spool. For demonstration, have a look at the following video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xMJH4NMsyg. If you are experiencing issues with reloading the string, we would be happy to see how we can help!
