Not the best greenworks product I own

After assembly I used it to replace my old string trimmer. My first thought was that the string head was very difficult to re sting. It took me way too long to remove the spool after I tried to load the string as seen on YouTube. I thought I could feed it through without removing the head but there was still broken off sting in the spool.
It took me 15 minutes to get the head apart and re thread the spool. I wish I had done more repurchase before buying this particular tool.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are glad to hear you chose the 60V 16" Gen2 String Trimmer, but we are sorry to learn that the restringing process was frustrating during your first use.
If there is leftover or broken line inside the spool, the head does need to be opened so the spool can be cleared before installing new trimmer line. Once the spool is empty, it should be removed by pressing the tabs on the head and lifting the spool out. After that, the line can be wound evenly in the direction indicated on the spool and then reinstalled into the head.
Many users find that after the first restring; the process becomes much quicker as you become familiar with the spool mechanism. Ensuring the correct line diameter is used and keeping the line wound neatly can also make reinstalling the spool easier.

Heavy Duty with great features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this 60 volt string trimmer in 11/2025. I have been using it on a 1/2 acre lot, which includes a canyon that is often covered with thick brush. This string trimmer is heavy duty and handles the job with ease . It is superior to my Kobalt 40 volt trimmer. The 0.095” line is great and is very easy to load.
Pros: Easy to Use, Durable, Effective, Powerful
I would recommend this to a friend!
