Very pleased with this trimmer so far. I do recommend a more complete harness. Using the bike handle style makes for way less back pain, especially when using for a long time. Batteries last long enough for me to be thankful for a break.

I am very impressed with the Greenworks 60V Trimmer. I think it is much easier to use than my old gas trimmer and just as powerful. If it hits an obstacle it will shut off automatically but I can easily start it again. Because I'm an old guy, I conveniently use the provided support strap to wear around my neck to help me carry the weight of the trimmer. I love this product. It works better than advertised and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get rid of those hard to start heavier gas engine trimmers. Battery life so far has not been an issue. Although I do use this battery for backup when using my other Greenworks products which sometimes do run out of battery power such as their powerful 60V Leaf blower. However, It would be great if Greenworks would reduce the cost of their batteries so that we can afford to buy spares.

I love my new trimmer!

I got this my new electric trimmer a couple of months ago and it exceeded my expectations. The handles and strap make it very comfortable to use and the 60v battery has plenty of run time to do my entire 1/2 acre yard. It's supper quiet, my neighbors enjoy that feature as I like to work on my yard early in the morning, and has all the power you need. I like the variable speed feature alot! The gas trimmers seem to all or nothing.

Quick trimming and lasts forever

I love this trimmer! Holds a charge forever on my large property.
Being older with nerve damage in my hand and a very large yard I'm still able to trim my whole fence line and around my long ranch style home and still have 3 bars if I'm slow about it. There is some vibration but all trimmers do. I like that it shuts itself off when it gets snagged on some wonky chain link I've got. I like everything about the trimmer.

Due to the maintenance required and the inconvenience of mixing and stirring gas, I decided to give a battery-operated trimmer a try. My decision to try this Greenworks model was the large capacity battery and the 4-year warranty. The small amount of assembly required was simple and straightforward. The trimmer operates as well as any gas-powered unit I've ever owned. I like that it is well balanced with no strain to carry or operate and the spool is simple to reload. Plus, it's quiet to operate which means I can do early morning yard work without annoying my neighbors! I am extremely satisfied with this product and would recommend it to friends.

Works well around rocks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This has been a really nice purchase for the country. The Greenworks Battery Operated String Trimmer means that it can be used anywhere. My Dad can take it anywhere on his property to clear weeds and grass from fence lines, utility poles, BBQ pit and much more. It is not overly heavy at around 10 lbs and very easy to use with just one button. The battery comes with a charger and came partially charged so ready to use. Just snap the battery at the top of the trimmer and it is ready to use. The string was pre-loaded and comes with an extra roll of string. My Dad found it easy to use and it worked quickly and thoroughly around the house. We have a lot of rock for decoration and the string held up around all of them. Definitely recommend.

Best Way to use a string trimmer

I'm so happy I have this string trimmer!! So many features and fantastic control! I love the option to control the spin rate at the power setting rather than just using the trigger. The balance of the machine makes it feel weightless when using. The battery lasts for hours and the trimmer is very quiet. I used to hate to week whack... now it's simple and easy!

This thing is really nice. I have never used one so powerful. It even takes out the giant ragweed no problem. I use it with the 8ah batteries that came with my Crossoverz and the strap makes it feel light.
