Produces good looking edges

Used it a couple of times so far and it works well. I run the wheel along my driveway and the grass is on my right as I walk forward to edge the lawn. Unsurprisingly I scrape the driveway edge along the way and the blade isn’t affected, just keeps going. Pleased with this tool so far.

Have used this trimmer a few times. The string that came with the tool will not advance while cutting or when tapping it on the ground. My hand is not large enough to squeeze the tabs to open the cover so I have to wait for my son or brother-in-law to come over and take it off. Greenworks should consider women may be using their tools and design accordingly.

Easy Assembly and Edges so well

I bought this about a month ago after an edger from a different company died. I bought this without the battery as we already have the cordless mower which we love. Assembly was simple. Clear instructions and some visuals to assist. I would definitely buy this product again for ease of use and quality of product. I have a small lawn that hadn’t been properly edged in a few years due to our less superior prior product. This edger is smooth and sharp. The bump feature that allows you to control the amount of line is fantastic - we didn’t have that on the prior product and I am so so glad to have this level of control. The green works edger comes with two speeds - I’ve only had to use 1 and am still very impressed with the sharp lines produced. The trigger switch is easy to hold. I was worried about the noise - it seems loud when in use - but my husband was trying to sleep while I edged and couldn’t hear me edging right outside their window (my husband is an incredibly light sleeper, so I was shocked at this). Battery life is excellent. We do have a very small lawn, but one battery for both edging and mowing only uses less than 25% of our battery. There is a slight drawback in that the edger is heavy. We got the 60v so that we can use the same battery for our mower, and that does make it hefty. However, in the assembly there is a shoulder strap included. I am a fairly young woman so it feels heavy but manageable and not heavier than the product we are replacing - just want to clarify for anyone looking for a supremely light edger. Overall great product, so glad it uses the same battery we had for a previous greenworks product, would highly recommend.

Nice Trimmer, Better Design

Much better design than previous version of same trimmer. Hopefully, a replacement guard will be part of replacement parts to be available for this model. Previous model/design trimmer's guard broke in half and no way to replace it, which prompted me to buy this new one. Assembly was easy. Works just as good as previous model; however, does seem handle differently (probably just imagination after using previous model for several years). All-in-all happy with product.

Takes a little care when edging, since there is no bale to ride on. Must hold it off the ground at the right angle.
