[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty happy with this 60v string trimmer. I typically use gas engine and prefer them but this is quite comparable. Didn’t think I would be happy with a battery powered string trimmer. Would like adjustable shaft. Overall happy with product.

Great Trimmer to Get the Job Done and Avoid Engine Issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already had gotten a leaf blower that was a 60V 2.5 ah battery years ago and the thing is so easy to use. My prior trimmer started to stall and not start and I didn't want to deal with it so I thought why not buy one of these and get the same battery type and be able to have 2 60V batteries now to use for both tools. The thing works great and easy to use (much easier than my old weed eater). It seems very heavy duty with the carbon fiber shaft and I am hopeful this will save tons of time for my kid and me to use and be a lot easier and give the flexibility with us now having two 60V batteries for use in both tools now. Also no more mixing gas to worry about or related engine/carburetor issues.

60V Give Ample Power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just received my 16" string trimmer. Provides as much power as 25cc gas trimmer. Perfect for homeowner. I did have to remove the spool cover assembly as the string on one side broke off inside the spool. To remove you have to press a tab on each side of the spool and pull spool off. I couldn't do it without using a screw driver to push in on one side and use my thumb on the other. The tabs are stiff, maybe because of newness.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the simple and easy selection between speeds over the older 40v model. The trimmer has plenty of power to cut down heavy buildup of skeleton leaf bursage. The quick loading mechanism is a clean way to load the sting too

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the trimmer does OK along a walk or side walk, but when trimming along landscaping rocks and over rocky terrain the string breaks off often and I have to restring.

Hello kshan10334. Thank you for reviewing Greenworks 60V String Trimmer. We would like to make some suggestions to improve your experience with the tool. Trimmer line usually breaks because of line crowding. This occurs when the trimmer head is held too close to hard objects that can break the line such as brick, cement, rocks, or fencing. Keeping the line at full extension, and not crowding it, reduces line breakage problems. We suggest cutting with the bare tip of the line because this is the section which moves at the highest speed. Do not let it hit into grass. Ease the line into vegetation, bit by bit from the edge. Line can also get wrapped around thick vegetation and become tangled, breaking the line. Listen to the sound of the machine and when the line slows down; back off out of the grass. The most important part of weed eating is wearing proper eye and ear protection, as well as pants and closed toe shoes. Keep any children and pets away. We hope these suggestions help.
