Takes a little care when edging, since there is no bale to ride on. Must hold it off the ground at the right angle.

Much better design than previous version of same trimmer. Hopefully, a replacement guard will be part of replacement parts to be available for this model. Previous model/design trimmer's guard broke in half and no way to replace it, which prompted me to buy this new one. Assembly was easy. Works just as good as previous model; however, does seem handle differently (probably just imagination after using previous model for several years). All-in-all happy with product.

Have used this trimmer a few times. The string that came with the tool will not advance while cutting or when tapping it on the ground. My hand is not large enough to squeeze the tabs to open the cover so I have to wait for my son or brother-in-law to come over and take it off. Greenworks should consider women may be using their tools and design accordingly.

German works great bum feed I don't like it all doesn't seem to work found myself bumping it by my hand ..... Very annoying never liked the bump feed as for the trimmer itself it works fine

Very powerful, have used it as a trimmer and light edging. Weight is reasonable and it is well balanced. Changing the trimming line is super easy and the battery lasts long enough to do everything I need on 1/3 acre. Very pleased with my new trimmer.
