I borrowed this item from my local tool library. It was easy to use and as powerful as the gas version I grew up using and no silly fuel mixing or rip cord fighting. Handled my yard just fine in one charge per yard, front and back. This is after not trimming for a year.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Cannot reload the trim

I bought this over a year ago I can never reload the trim. it catches and knots up. I have to keep taking it a part and it won't turn when I need to load it. It's very hard to turn and I cannot find any replacements.
Pros: Environmentally Safe, Powerful

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear of the challenge you are experiencing with your string trimmer. This unit is only compatible with one trimmer head, and we do not have another trimmer head that can physically go on this trimmer. The trimmer head on this unit is made for easy replacement of the string on the spool. We understand that for some new customers this task may seem overwhelming/difficult but once they do it a few times it’s quite easy – as easy as replacing a spool. It is also cheaper and more convenient for customers to rewind the trimmer head because they can use any generic .080” trimmer line(purchased at your local hardware store) and save money on more costly replacement spools. There are two methods in which the trimmer line can be replaced. You will need approximately 15' of trimmer line at .080" inches in diameter. For the first method: Note the hash mark on the knob and the hash mark on the spool cover, while holding the spool cover in place with one hand , turn the knob until the hash mark line up with the hash mark on the spool cover. Then take the trimmer line and feed it through one of the holes in the side of the head until there is an even amount on both sides. Then wind the line into the spool by turning the knob clockwise. If you wish to readjust the line or if the line has been wound too short, push down on the knob and wind it counterclockwise. Be sure to leave about 5 inches of slack on each side of the spool. Second method: Remove the spool cover by simultaneously pushing the two tabs located on side of the spool cover. The cover should spring off, lift the spool out and feed line through hole in the center of the spool until you get an even amount of line on each side. Put the spool back in the trimmer head, making sure that both sides of the line go back into the grooves in the trimmer head, continue to hold the spool in place. Take the spool cover and put it back onto the trimmer, using both hands press down firmly to ensure that the taps lock into place, you can now rotate the knob on the spool clockwise to rewind the line back in making sure to leave the 5 inches of line on each side of the spool. Quick trimming and lasts forever

I love this trimmer! Holds a charge forever on my large property.
Being older with nerve damage in my hand and a very large yard I'm still able to trim my whole fence line and around my long ranch style home and still have 3 bars if I'm slow about it. There is some vibration but all trimmers do. I like that it shuts itself off when it gets snagged on some wonky chain link I've got. I like everything about the trimmer.

Great weed eater needs some improvements

I have had this 3 months. Took some getting used to after my gas for 10 yrs...need a smaller shield. The shield is way to big. I know electric but the trigger needs more play..took awhile to find a sweet spot between all on or lowered speeds along fence...also the battery is light but won't do an acre of fence driveway and a dozen trees. I use big heavy one from the mower and do all in one charge...love the power and no gas or pulling cord to start...

Bought 2 years ago (July 2021) for the convenience of the universal "attachment-capable" feature -- and along the way acquired Greenworks blower, Ryobi edger, and TrimmerPlus pole saw attachments. All have worked out very well for me and I've recommended it to several friends.

Defective design

I purchased this string trimmer in 2022. I haven’t never been able to load line into it. I cannot for the life of me push and turn the top bumper to load line. They made it so hard to do. This trimmer is effectively useless to me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry to hear about your challenges removing the trimmer head. The method of rewinding the spool is quite simple and straightforward and located inside the owner's manual. See instructions below.
REMOVE EXCESS LINE
1. Push the tabs on the sides of the trimmer head at the same time.
2. Pull and remove the spool cover.
3. Remove any remaining line.
4. Clean dirt and debris from all parts. Replace spool if it is worn or damaged.
5. Align the spool tabs with the tab openings in the base of the spool.
6. Push the spool cover until it clicks into position.
INSTALL THE CUTTING LINE NOTE *Do not put more than 15 feet of cutting line in at a time.
1. Remove the remaining cutting line on the spool.
2. Line up the slots on the spool cover with the slots on the trimmer head.
3. Insert the line into the mounting hole, which is located inside the eyelet. Push the cutting line until it exits the opposite hole.
4. Pull the cutting line through until there is an equal quantity of cutting line on each side.
5. Rotate the spool cover clockwise in the arrow direction to wind the cutting line into the trimmer head. Keep approximately 5 in of cutting line above out of each side of the trimmer head.
REPLACE THE SPOOL
1. Disassemble the trimmer head . Pull and remove the spool cover.
2. Clean dirt and debris from all parts. Replace spool if it is worn or damaged.
3. Loosen the screws. Remove the spool, slot covert, location housing from the spool assembly.
4. Replace with a new spool.
5. Insert the location housing and slot covert onto the spool cover, and then put the spool onto the slot covert to the desired position.
6. Tighten with the screws.
REMOVE THE TRIMMER HEAD
1. Put the metal rod in the specified angle transmission hole to fix the trimmer head.
2. Turn the trimmer head clockwise to loosen it. Do not remove the spacer from the shaft.
ASSEMBLE THE TRIMMER HEAD
1. Put the metal rod in the specified angle transmission hole to fix the trimmer head.
2. Assemble the trimmer head.
3. Turn the trimmer head counterclockwise to tighten it.
4. Remove the metal rod.

CCW spin.. really?

Used this a few times now. Not balanced very well with a 2.5AH battery, most of the weight is in the lower hand. Biggest gripe is it spins CCW instead of CW which for any right handed person ensures you get all debris thrown right into your legs. Walking backwards helps only slightly. And good luck doing vertical edges.

As a result, when these trimmers are used to trim against a wall, they cut through the grass much more cleanly and efficiently when moved along said wall from right to left. While our string trimmer are not adjustable, for the best control and balance, ensure that you hold the trimmer by both the switch handle and the auxiliary handle. Stand with the cutting head tipped down at an angle in front, guiding the grass trimmer/edger in a semicircular motion around you. If possible, guide the grass trimmer/edger to the left to cut. The line will cut as soon as it leaves the guard, and the clippings are thrown away from you. If the grass trimmer/edger is not cutting correctly, the cutting line may not be feeding properly and it’s possible that the spool just needs to be removed and rewound - this can also affect the balance.
