I think the shaft is a bit too long. Certainly longer than any trimmer I have ever worked with. I’m also using the belt to get a good balance . It’s that I think in some situations you need to trim at an angle for the head and the length makes it difficult to do. I like the power of the unit even in the slower speed. Not too heavy so not getting tired maneuvering it for longer periods. BAttery seems to last as long as I need it for my one acre trim.

Easy to handle , well balanced,strong motor. Not easy to open the spool casing or reclose after changing the string

Thank you for your honest feedback! It does take some force in order to turn the head, however, over time it usually works itself in! Be sure that you do not have too much line in the spool and that there are no obstructions in the trimmer head causing this reaction. Love this tool. It was easy to put together and is easy to use. With 2 charged 4.0 batteries I can mow and trim the whole yard. I’ve already recommended this to my neighbors.

I have 4 60 volt tools all are viewed favorably - BUT - the string sold by GREENWORKS is less than desirable. I can’t get past a foot of cutting with having to tap for another serving. I’ve tried EVERYthing I could to swap to a better/ generic head for better Stri g and easier re-filling the spool. Even the preloaded spools are a challenge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've only used it twice but, because I keep being bugged to rate it, okay. So far, so good. If a product could be accurately rated based on only two uses, I'd rate it a 5. If customer support was good, I'd also rate it a 5. But customer support is nearly nonexistent. I've called twice, once for this product (90 minutes on hold for a quick question) and once for another product (60 minutes on hold). To my mind, that doesn't qualify as "customer service".
