Plenty for residential use. I recommend flipping the string cut blade around to make the string radius larger. The shield is designed for this, just wish it came the other way so i didn't have to take the time...

It spins really fast and it whacks weeds in the process! Then the battery goes in my blower which makes wind and the trimmings run away from it! What fun!

So far, seems to be working great! Only issue I have - and maybe it’s user error - is that it came with a strap, but whatever hook was shown in the instructions for it to hook to doesn’t exist. But it’s not too heavy that I can’t manage without.

Nice electric trimmer. It lasts forever, as I've never gone below 50% on the included 2.5Ah battery. Only gripe is that it tends to throw stuff right at my legs and the guard doesn't do much to stop it. I wear pants while I trim usually, so no big deal. Just may e it's how I hold the trimmer.

This is the 2nd season I've used this trimmer. As the title implies, it's OK. The battery does seem to drain fairly quickly. I seriously doubt that you could get a 45 minute run time out of it. The head doesn't rotate. I knew this when I bought it. So, when you want to use it as an edger, you have to rotate the entire trimmer and it's very awkward and not user friendly. If you're going to use it as an edger, you might want to think twice. Power wise, the low speed (#1) is almost useless, unless you are going to cut down some dandelions. When you hit thick grass on the low speed, you can hear the grass laughing at you like "Are you serious"? The high speed (#2) is very adequate. It'll take care of almost any thing you want to cut down, grass-wise. Needless to say, I keep mine on the #2 speed and never use the low speed (#1). One more thing, if you ever disassemble to cutting head, you are going to learn to use some new expletives, especially when you try to reassemble it. Don't get me wrong, it can be done, again, it's just not user friendly.

Hello Heavens to Murgatroyd,
Thank you for sharing your review. We are sorry your experience did not match your expectations. As this is a fixed head string trimmer the operator must manually angle the unit during operation for use as an edger. Adjust your grip so the head is tilted by 90 degrees and the string now spins along the vertical axis. The unit will now function as an edger.
We would love to hear more of your experience if you are willing so that we can better assist. Please reach out to our team at 1-888-909-6757 or by sending an email to info@greenworkstools.com.

Delighted to finally have a battery operated trimmer, this is a excellent piece of equipment, don't miss the difficulty of trying to start my ole petroleum based energy source. This is fantastic, insert the battery and it's working, quietly, with plenty of power to tame the weeds and manicure the grass the mower can't reach. Exceptional Engineering. Well Done GreenWorks
