This 16" trimmer is strong and reliable. Nice to grab and start trimming without the hassle of cranking and searching for gas and oil. The battery lasts long enough to do my entire yard without a recharge.

I just received it today and already gave it a workout. I am sure I will like the new string load feature and I love the strap although it isn't listed as being included. I was loaded with string and came with a small spare amount for reload. I was surprised that it was .080 instead of .095 but I trust that it is .095 as advertised. I was surprised that the 2.5 amp didn't hold a charge quite as long as I suspected but I was in some pretty heavy, tall grass and most of my cutting was at high speed. I have a 60v lawn mower and a 60v chain saw with 5 amp batteries so I may use them more often in the future.
I started out with a different 40v manufacturer many years ago but they deserted 40v for a number of years so when the motor died I switched to Greenworks 40v. That was a good decision and I now have 40v chain saw, string trimmer, tiller, pole saw, and hedge trimmer. When I lost a 120 foot pine tree last spring I knew the 40v chain saw wasn't quite up to the job so I bought the 60v saw as to help out and I just liked it a lot better, particularly the battery. Some of my 40v tools are a real chore to switch batteries on. Eventually they will all be replaced by 60v units.

This trimmer is easy to use and works great. I've used it to take down some tall grass around the house and deck, and also used it to edge my sidewalks and driveway.

I purchased this to trim around my house, dog pen, and trees in my yard. It works great! Lighter and more convenient than my gas trimmer, and almost as powerful, I love the two power settings. The lower power setting is great for normal grass trimming and really saves line from breaking. The higher power setting is great for deeper thicker grass and weeds. I still use my gas trimmer for trimming real high weeds. The battery lasts long enough to trim what I mentioned at the beginning of this review.

I am super happy with this. I had an older battery powered string trimmer that was pretty weak and only had one string. The first time I fired this trimmer up, it felt like going from a bicycle to a race car! This trimmer has tons of power to cut through this tough Florida grass, whereas the old one would just bounce off of some of these long runners that grow all over. I have a fairly small yard, but I can do the whole yard and still have 50% battery left. This is my fourth Greenworks tool, and it's great they all have interchangeable batteries. I have a 60V Mower, edger, leaf blower and now the string trimmer, and it is so nice not worrying about engines that won't start and the messing with gas and oil. I am a very happy Greenworks customer.

Not hard to assemble, but this big heavy trimmer is not for small jobs or simple edging.
It is very powerful and has a handy adjustable power selector when you don’t need to bush hog your yard. Hopefully I will master subtle trimming soon.
