Maybe it’s me, but re-stringing this thing is impossible. I’ve watched videos, taken extra care, cursed it, and whatever else I can think of, but it’s difficult and still won’t dispense string correctly for any length of time. I have several other Greenworks tools, so hate to have to switch but I need a practical string tool, and this ain’t it.
Pros: Quiet, Environmentally Safe, Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

too hard to re-string!

Had to throw it in the garbage after one use, impossible to re-string!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Any one of our customer experience agents would be more than happy to walk you through the re-stringing process over the phone at 1-888-909-6757 and in some cases provide videos that Greenworks creates. The manual is also a great source of information when it comes to tool maintenance.
We also have created a string trimmer head called the Load-N-Go Trimmer Head and TecoMec trimmer head meant for easy re-stringing. You will see those words (Load-N-Go Head and TecoMec) used in descriptions of some trimmers and those ones will be the most convenient to string.

Awesome trimmer and super quiet the 2.5 Ah battery should last a long time. I only use it in speed 1 and not even full speed in. I trim and edge my whole property and the battery doesn't ever drop one bar.

I've used this twice to trim the difficult to get to spots around my almost acre lot. The first time included a 45ft X 2ft section of overgrown herb plants that needed to be destroyed. I'm pleased to say that this made child's play out of the whole thing. I cannot report yet on how well the string changing goes.
