Works well, easy to reload

Bought at Lowe's and have used it once. So far I am pleased. It is comfortable to operate, smoothly advances the line, and is easy to re-load, though the instructions weren't very clear. Battery run time seemed to be as advertised. Not sure why the guard is so small.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic performer

I have owned 2 battery operated trimmers in the past. I needed a backup 18v battery to complete my yard work.
I purchased this, assembly was easy, charged the battery and trimmed a yard (40×70) without using a lawnmower.
I used the trimmer for 40 minutes and it ran perfectly.
The battery is now on the charger and I am waiting patiently to play with my new toy again.

Oh how I love this trimmer!

I’ve always been an Echo trimmer guy, but this 60v Greenworks trimmer has swayed me! First off, how nice is it that I don’t wreak of gas fumes after doing yardwork! My wife doesn’t even realize I was edging while she napped! LOL. It certainly does NOT lack in the power department. It is a little different on the power feed, you squeeze the trigger and wait a second or two for the motor to wind up to the speed you desire…. after a few minutes I was used to it and had the timing down. I REALLY tested it by dragging it through some THICK thatched grass, and it minced it like a Ninja Blender on high! The ‘whirl’ of the motor/string assembly is gratifying, knowing it’s getting the job done WITHOUT GAS! I just got in from edging my acre lot and the battery still had two green LEDS of power on the battery! Now that is awesome!

I see a lot of green in my future, Greenworks that is, this string trimmer is AMAZING! I look forward to adding some attachments to it in the near future! It’s balanced so nicely, I’m sure adding additional equipment and conquering other jobs will be a snap!

Easy Peasy to use!

I have been so happy with my 60V trimmer and the ease of use! It's lightweight and powerful! 60V has enough power to get the job done. There's no mixing gases and mess. I want to try a lawnmower soon and blower. It will be nice to interchange the batteries to keep a full charge at all times, even though it does all my small yard's trimming without having to charge it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

On its high speed it can chip brick off of a house.... which I may have done accidentally. Claims 40 minute run time but mine has gone an hour!

Great Trimmer

I finally had the chance to use my Greenworks Tools Pro 60V Trimmer and Mower this weekend. I couldn’t be more happy with these products from beginning to end. They each arrived fast and well packaged to my home and were both super easy to assemble. It is basically plug and play with these tools and took all of 20 minutes from unpack to fully assembled ready to go (minus the battery charging which took around 30 minutes per battery). I was surprisingly happy with how quiet these were, with the ability to still hear my headphones without blasting it in my ear. In addition, the strength is just as good as any gas mower / trimmer I have used in the past, cutting through runners with one pass. And the battery life has not been an issue, although I would suggest that if you have a larger lawn, to go with at minimum a 2.5A battery. The 5A has not stopped once. One of the great things about these is no pull cord on either machine and super quick and easy to start and stop by just using the triggers. This is so much nicer than dealing with choke options and cords on the gas powered units. I would highly recommend these to anybody with a lawn looking for a new mower or trimmer and I would not think twice about this decision again.

This 60v tool from Greenworks is a winner. It is powerful enough to cut through thick, tall grass without any resistance. It’s also a champ when it comes to routine lawn edging. Its versatility is enhanced, too, by the variable speeds of the trimmer. A light touch on the trigger produces a slower rotation of the cutting string, while a full depression results in an impressive, potent top speed. The beautiful thing about this design is that changing speeds can happen effortlessly on the fly, allowing one to adapt to variations in the current job without any stopping or restarting.
It’s worth noting that this device is heavier than some may be used to. I previously used a 40v tool from a rival company; the trimmer was lighter than this one, which, in truth, I prefer. But the extra weight is offset by an adjustable shoulder strap that reduces fatigue and pressure on one’s back.
Another thing to note is that this trimmer uses heavier line. The result is less breakage. I noticed this the first time I trimmed my lawn with the 60v trimmer and appreciated it immediately. The bump-advance of the line works as it should. All in all, this is a superior tool that I highly recommend.
