Handy tool for the snow

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this snow blower 2 days before the snow it. My hubby was a little skeptical about it being battery powered. Super easy assembly, took less than 5 minutes to get it put together. We charged the batteries over night and were ready to go! It is light weight and easy to pick up and carry. It pretty quiet, light to push (gets a heavier with heavier snow) and made clearing snow a breeze. We have a big corner lot and it normally takes 20 min to shovel, hubby was back inside and drinking coco after 10 with this thing! My kids think its cool and have no problem going out to clear sidewalk now. Batteries life depends on how heavy the snow is but we got about 30 min before we need to charge. Looking to get another set so we can have one charging while we use the others.

Powerful and quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in Western New York and we always get a ton of snow in the winter. One of the worst things is running out of gas halfway through snowblowing. That's where this awesome machine comes in handy. It's battery operated so you can just charge up the batteries the night before you know you're going to get snow. It's wide enough to get the sidewalks done in two passes. Great for people with smaller walkways and driveways. It holds a charge long enough for me to do my driveway and sidewalks then some.

Decent product

Just bought this unit refurbished, but already have concerns. The 4 rubber-tips that are attached to the steel auger are worn out. Have been trying to locate where i can buy replacement tips, no luck.

Light weight and works well.

This unit is light weight, easy to use. I couldn't get the machine to run more than ten feet in -11 degree temps this morning. It just quit, and shut off after a few seconds of use. The batteries were fully charged, and showed green. I brought the batteries inside and let warm them warm to room temperature. Then they worked fine after that. I used it previously on 2 occasions without any issues, but the weather was in the low to mid thirties. I keep the charger in the garage and store the batteries nearby after charging, so maybe it was just too cold this morning. The only other issue was that a screw holding the crank to the snow discharge chute fell out, and got lost in the snow the 2nd time I used it. I replaced the screw with a cotter pin, and works fine.

Would Make a Good Child's Toy if Safer

My son purchased this snow blower for me since I am in my late 70s and shoveling snow is hard on my body. I had to tell my son that this machine was not worth the money he spent on it. The front acts like a snowplow pushing snow in front of the machine. It will not even work on wet, heavy snow. It is cheaply made. On the plus side the batteries charge quickly and last a long time and it is lightweight.. However, except for safety concerns, this would make a good child's toy. I am very disappointed with this product. It does not work for northern Utah snows.

Great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This snow blower already comes together in the box. There is just a couple steps left for you to finish setup. We got it in the mail same day we got a nice snow storm. We tested it out right away. It does a decent job. The snow we got was heavy and wet. The snow blower did a pretty good job clearing, it was just hard to get down to the concrete. I think it would do an amazing job with light snow. I wish there was more of a shovel on the bottom to help get under the snow, we had to tilt it forward while using. It’s powerful and lightweight. The heavier snow did cause the batteries to drain faster. Keep that it mind. Overall very excited to have a snow blower!

Good Snow blower yet bad battery life

After using this snow blower for a few months through several snow storms i feel i can write a fair review
The snow blower itself is light weight and does a fantastic job, it will eat through snow just as fast and throw snow just as far as my small gas blower.
The problem is the battery life. I get maybe 15-20 minutes of battery life before the machine shuts down. 15-20 minutes isnt enough to clear my small driveway when there is more than a few inches of snow.
If the batteries lasted longer this would get 5 stars, as is i will need to order another set of batteries to be able to clear my whole driveway without waiting two hours for the batteries to charge.

First Time Using An Electric Thrower

This is the first electric snow thrower I have purchased. Will use it for clean up and preparing for the bigger gas model. The thrower was easy to assemble out of the box. Nice looking and durable in appearance. The battery charger worked well and was easy to use. We received two snow falls of about 6 inches since the purchase. The thrower worked well for my purpose. I blew for about 15 to 20 minutes each time. The batteries held up well for that amount of use. I have had no issues with the thrower so far. I would say it is a good product for limited use. I am sure it is not intended for long periods of heavy snow throwing. If you are looking for a light weight, easy to handle snow thrower for smaller jobs, I think this thrower would suit your needs.
