Great, simple and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I enjoyed using this vacuum throughout our home and even tested it on our rugs ... and we have 4 dogs! It worked great and its simple and easy. I will admit this does not have all of the bells and whistles but it gets the job done nicely just the same!

Powerful Upright Vacuum

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Living in a house with pets and kids and carpet, this Eureka PowerSpeed upright vacuum has become my best friend. It is very powerful and is easy to use. It is light weight and has great suction power. It works great on carpet and easily pulls out pet hair. Since this is compact, it is easy to store. This vacuum has a short cord so recommend using it with an extension cord.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love this vacuum so much. I had a dyson that was expensive and I could not understand it. Several books and pamphlets came with it, plus cardboard things with warnings. All had to be studied before starting! I read them but couldn't match the machine to the drawings, even after months. One day it did its stalling thing to tell me there was something stuck somewhere. (Well it did this every few minutes) I cleared it by taking it apart. This is a long story but it's relevant, I assure you. I was sure there were no blockages in the hoses or anywhere. Finally I took a thin rag and pulled it all the way thru from top to bottom. There was nothing. But still the machine said "there's a blockage! I won't go anymore!" I threw it in the dumpster. Then, online, I bought this darling machine. I felt I would probably be in the wrong again, and unworthy because I didn't understand machines. But, this Eureka PowerSpeed is so simple, so strong, so excellent. It is on my side! What else can I say? It runs beautifully. The suction when I use the attachments is just as strong as when it's upright. It's a dream to empty. I still can't get over it. And for some reason, it cost half or less than half of that other one. Fewer text books, maybe. I'll never put it in the trash but when it's too old to work, maybe I'll just keep it peacefully in the closet for its old age. (kidding but maybe I will).

Good vacuum overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Eureka PowerSpeed Upright Vacuum is a good vacuum overall. It could use a couple of things changed to get a full 5 stars. There are no lights on the front, and the way it turns on could be with your hand at the top instead of at the bottom, with your foot. Other than those two things, it's great. It has great suction power, the attachments work great. I cleaned the upholstery on the kitchen chairs and that was so easy. It was also easy to operate and change the height for the different sizes of carpet or hardwood floors. The assembly of it out of the box was very easy. The instructions are well written. The emptying of the canister was simple too. The filter is easy to clean. It's great at picking up dog and cat hair. The entire thing is lightweight, and I can pick it up with one hand and lift it with one hand too. The cord is plenty long. Id recommend this vacuum cleaner to those with pets, as well as those with children.

We made a terrible mistake buying this vacuum! It has been nothing but trouble since we bought it! Literally every single time we use it, the belt either slips off or breaks. We've had to replace the belt at least dozen times in less than a year from purchasing it. Poor manufacturing from Euteka. I've read many other reviews of others having this same problem. 10 out of 10 I would NOT recommend this product, unless you want to waste your time and money constantly trying to fix it.

Not Happy With Sweeper

I received this sweeper for Christmas last year. I am a 70 year old woman and I would not buy this sweeper. Even though it is light weight, I can hardly push when vacuuming my large area rug in my living room. Also even though it says the hose is 7 ft, I find I can't seem to reach anything very high up. Also it doesn't have an extension to attach to it to reach something on the floor. Because the hand hold is so close to the attachment, you have to bend way over to vacuum the floor

Good suction, too good!

Suction on this vacuum is awesome but it is so strong that it sucks up our thinner carpets. We have a large oriental rug and this vacuum works well on it. Our problem is that we have several thinner runners and the vacuum sucks them into the mechanism, clogging the brush. Our runners are in the process of being destroyed by this vacuum. I called customer service about the problem but they had no workarounds. We will now have to buy another, smaller vacuum to clean our runners.
