Great for cooling, just needs rest if you use it in the heat

The Newair AC-14100H Portable Air Conditioner is a powerful machine. It's convenient, loaded with features, powerful and works extremely well. The only real issue I faced was the condenser issue when the ambient temperature was too hot for the machine to handle. That's expected, however I was hoping that it would be a bit more steady. However if you are using this inside a house you have nothing to worry about at all as its more then capable of cooling entire rooms instantly. We'll see how it performs during the winter.
I would recommend this to a friend!

we have a large room above our garage that my wife uses as her art studio and controlled temperature is very important. We had a Newair AC10000H that we ran 24/7 continuously for 8 years and the motor finally quit. We went to the AC14100H larger unit this time. So far we are impressed with how it maintains temperature and how quiet it is. This unit will run continuously to both cool and heat this room.

Great Product. Supplements Central Air extremely well

Great Product - the house we bought does not have a well designed Central Air. Very large Master Bedroom/Bathroom/Walk In Closet - without adequate Air flow/return. Perfect to supplement - on very Hot Days/Periods. Even with Central Air constantly on, was unable to balance the Temperature. The portable unit - is able to maintain the large rooms at comfortable temperature - and supplement the Central Air for the rest of the house. At a very reasonable price.

I have owned this for almost 4 months now so it is time to give a review. The NewAir AC-14100H does a great job cooling our large bedroom, which is about 400 sq ft. It is quiter than a window unit but still makes some noise. Upkeep is easy. Add some water to it if you want it to cool more effeciently. A remote would be a nice addition. Also, one end of the hose needs to be a quick disconnect so it can be moved to different areas of the house easier. Making it screw into each end was not a good design. Other than that, this unit is great.

I must say the unit is very slick and modern looking. I can't give a very detailed review on it yet because we live in Michigan and the A/C side of it we haven't used, however the heater side we have used and I don't like the way it acts when it reached the set point instead of just shutting down it switched to blowing cold air and the process starts all over again blowing warm air to bring it back to the temp you set it at. It seams like a lot on unnecessary useage of energy.

I use this in my garage where I spend a lot of time working on hobbies and exercising in my home gym. This product worked very well. When there was an issue which required replacement of the unit while it was under warranty, customer support wasted no time in processing my replacement. A minor inconvenience in my opinion.
