Hard working little machine

NewAir sent me their one of their AC-14100H units for review and I had a fun time checking out all of its features and putting it to the test. Overall, it performs very well, and was painless to set up and use. I am asking a lot of it to cool my entire garage, but it is so nice to have inside the house as well, in any room around 500 square feet. My garage was over 650 sq ft so it was a big task, and setting it to run in the morning, I was able to keep the temps to a reasonable low 80s with the door closed while it was over 90 outside. If I had a smaller garage, or one in partial shade, it would definitely cool much easier. My favourite feature is that it can switch between heating and cooling automatically as you just set the temperature. Everything feels well-made and of high quality.

Ordering process was easy and it was good to have a tracking # to monitor. Unit arrived undamaged and quickly for cross-country shipping. Easy setup, instructions adequate. Currently using in heater mode in garage to bring temp up to comfortable level for shop work. Does a good job, but we haven't had outside low temp's yet this season. The unit is undersized as a heater for the garage space, but meets my needs at this point. Will be moved to a smaller bonus room over the garage for cooling next season. Like the portability. I would recommend this unit at this time based on limited experience. Good experience with Seller.

I use this in the living room to cool the sitting area and not have to use central air as much. I also use it in the computer room in the even of an A/C failure in the apartment.

Set this unit up in my 2 car garage and it lowers the temp 20 degrees from the outside 100+ temps that we've had this summer. I have not insulated the garage door yet, which will help out even more so the compressor will not have to work as much and will cool better. I expected some noise, but most of what I hear is just fan noise as the compressor runs very quiet.

Workhorse - Portable - Effective

I bought this unit for my 2-car garage size work shop. It did a great job at keeping the shop cool in the summer and warm during the colder days. One nice feature is it's ability to control the moisture with it's de-humidifier. That prevented rust from forming on my machines when the garage doors would get opened during summers days. A great unit for the price and even better results!

Great Product - the house we bought does not have a well designed Central Air. Very large Master Bedroom/Bathroom/Walk In Closet - without adequate Air flow/return. Perfect to supplement - on very Hot Days/Periods. Even with Central Air constantly on, was unable to balance the Temperature. The portable unit - is able to maintain the large rooms at comfortable temperature - and supplement the Central Air for the rest of the house. At a very reasonable price.
Pros: Cools the Whole Room, Easily Portable, Easy Window Installation

I live in south Alabama, It gets hot , hot in the summer , and down in the twenties , at night in the winter. These units heat and cool very well. We leave them set on automatic, on those days when you need cooling by day , and heat at night , we have quite a few of those here. They are super energy effecient. I have wood floors , and ran 3/4 inch sch. 40 pvc through the floors , which works perfectly , to run the drain tubes in to. I am going to buy backup units , to have on hand for future use. These are excellent products.

Awesome Garage AC

I use this portable AC unit in my 1000 sq ft garage. Of course this unit isn't for something that big but it does a pretty good job of cooling on the humid 98 degree days. I turn it on in the mornings & keep it on until I go to bed. Being in the garage it does run almost constantly. I'm happy with this product & would recommend it!
