HAS A HARD TIME COOLING 400 SQUARE FEET . SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A UNIT WITH AN INTAKE AND OUTPUT HOSE VENT.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AC that actually cools!

This is our second, as they cool the upstairs of an old farmhouse. AMAZING results with little effort. Aesthetically pleasing from outside (no window boxes hanging out of the house!) and doesn't take much room inside either. I would definitely recommend.

Makes A World of Difference!

Living in Houston, TX, the temperature can get well into the hundreds with a humidity index of 100%. Even with central air, cooling lower than 80° just isn't possible. So, I was thrilled to find out about portable air conditioners. This specific portable AC is wonderful! I am able to cool my bedroom in less than an hour all the way down to the sixties! The unit is relatively quiet for portable AC, even when the compressor is running. I can't tell you how big this is as some units I have had in the past have been very loud. The unit does not take up much space and is very easy to use. One function I really like is the energy saver which enables you to use a water tank to cool the compressor thereby helping you save on energy costs. The unit also uses the water generated from cooling to cool down the compressor so you never have to drain the unit! The included window kit is very simple to install and comes with all necessary tools. From the outside of the house, you can't even tell you have an AC on the inside! Overall, the portable AC/heater is a great product and I would recommend to anyone looking for alternative cooling/heating options.

I set the unit up today in my garage , had a 6 inch hole made in the concrete wall , purchased stainless steel brackets and a couple of hours later I can finally use my garage in this Florida heat . What a difference it makes .
