Leaks
on July 3, 2014

This washer works well but weakest link is the leeaking water inlet. The inlet is 3/4" NPT which is not for water hose.the adapter furnished is realy lame & continueousily leaks. Now I have to improvise & come up with a metal aadapter. Who thiought of the bad idea of milling flats on vboth sides if 3/4" outlet? This guarantees a leaking connection. DUH Don Poe
Pros: Lightweight

So far, best electric machine I have used. Great idea with the changeable nozzles. Could use an extension on the heavy duty wand to reach the peak areas of the house to wash the siding.
Pros: Rugged, Easy To Use, Powerful
Cons: No Assembly Instructions

Mildew can be problematic in my area. (I am a small woman in my mid 70's with no prior DIY experience yet I found this machine to be easy to use in every way and efficient). The machine performs as advertised. I did return three other well known and costlier brands and happily keep this to use for posterity. Earlier reviews were most helpful.
Pros: Compact, Easy To Use, Quality, Powerful

Very easy to assemble. Was worried after hearing stories of leaking hose connections. I did not have any problems. Pressure was sufficient to power wash my concrete back porch pad and some other items around the house. I also wanted to get something that my wife could easily handle but not too much power that she would accidently do some damage.
Pros: Easy To Use, Powerful, Compact

Sun Joe SPX3000 Electric power washer

Assembly was easy. I cleaned off a paver walkway that was dirty and had green mold on it which is normal for homes in Florida near the ocean. The manual warned about using certain cleaning products but did not say which one's you should use. The lack of info about what cleaning products to use is my biggest issue. The machine performed well and I am pleased with the pressure and results. I wish they would go into more detail about the use of detergent system. Example: can I use soap sold for washing my car? can I use a car washing soap that also has wax in it? The snowjoe.com web site has one multipurpose cleaner and that's it. A youtube video explaining and showing you how to use the detergent system would be helpful. I am scared to use the detergent system in fear I will ruin the pump. The arm that holds the electric cord is too small. Needs to be 2 or 3" taller. Bottom line, it's a good machine and would buy it again.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Powerful
Cons: Detergent Use

Snow Joe 2030 GPM TEST SPX3000 no tip .30 sec for 1gal. Soaper .30 sec for 1gal. 40 deg. .51 sec for 1gal. 25 deg. .51 sec for 1gal. 15 deg. .51 sec for 1gal. 0 deg. .51 sec for 1gal. Real life test shows your actually getting 1.176 GPM with the 40, 25, 15, 0, deg. Nozzle's, NOT 1.76 ..If you were to include the soaper tip and no tip test results, you could get closer to the claim of 1.76 gallons per minute. Hey remember they're advertisements for your eyeballs, and your finger to purchase with a click. Test details: Using a sacrificial rag over the nozzle which will have a hole blown through it by the nozzle pressure, inserting that into a shop vac hose, and then going into a funnel, that is going into an empty 1 gallon milk jug container. I was able to get accurate water flow, without all the air flow created from the high-pressure tips. I dare anyone to take the high-pressure tip and stick it into an empty milk jug and pull the trigger, LOL! Test Remarks: I was very surprised when testing higher, and higher pressure tips that the pump was able to maintain the gpm flow exactly, I expected GPM to drop down slightly with each higher pressure tip change test. (Nice Pump) The SPX3000 unit rated pressure is 1450 from page 4 of the user manual. Download the PDF and look for yourself. I need this pressure washer to work with other attachments at rated line pressure & GPM flow. So facts are important, gimmicks are not. I am using a universal wand with universal adapters ( Power Care Gun/Hose 100664072 rated 2000 psi) , to run a karcher 250 surface cleaner. (yellow one, & yellow nozzle tips) I wish this unit would deliver 1.76 GPM, the results could only be even more amazing. .. but, with 1.176 GPM the results are very good. As a result of consumer testing, I believe the public, we will find that all the manufacturers have all tweaked the numbers and facts, so each competitor can look better than the other. LOL. Conclusion: SPX3000 Still best unit. I will highly recommend this unit on it's own merit, it is simply the best electric washer I have used so far, and has a 2 year warranty to back it up, I don't appreciate the deceptive numbers, enough said. Knowing what I know now, and having used it, I would buy it all over again. I am going to update my test results, to also include the line pressure on each tip. Fluid filled pressure gauge with Quick Connect, should be here in about 2 weeks. ...Update 4/5/2014 Plan on Using a Generator? Wattage TEST SPX3000 no tip 850 watts avg.
