Worked well until it stopped working
on June 28, 2025
Posted by: Big Al Dude
I bought this (It was green at that time) three years ago. I used it once or twice a year for cleaning my deck. This spring I was using in and it started to smell like burned rubber and just stopped working, I didn't call Sun Joe since it was over two years old and out of warranty. When it worked it worked great, and I was disappointed when it stopped working. I doubt I used it for more than 5 or 6 hours before it failed. I tried all of the trouble shooting online. I don't remember if I registered it, but I do have an account the them, just couldn't find where I registered it.

Good pressure washer - poor built quality

Product is great but be prepared for it to fail after a few years. Not solidly built. Mine randomly stops working in the middle of a job and needs its sweet time to reset (hours, sometimes days). Happens every time.

Easy to use and works like a charm. I have some 30 hours on the one I bought at the beginning of the summer. I bragged on it and my neighbor borrowed it and so did a friend. I have a large deck that was in need of cleaning. The Sun-Joe pressure washer performed flawlessly. See the photos:

Very good except for the hose adapter

It does what it advertised to do and does it well. (pressure washing) My complaint is that the hose connector that it ships with wears very fast. I've been through 2 of them and the threads on both stripped after just one or two uses. The threads are not very deep and are made of aluminum not brass. Therefore, you can only get the first few threads of the hose attached and the pressure of the water will eject it and strip the threads. It needs to be designed with brass threads and so that it grips most of the male end of the hose. Using plumbers tape did not help.

Great Electric Pressure Washer

I've been looking to replace for my 8 year old electric with fixed wand nozzle. Wanted more pressure but didn't want to go gas powered. Also wanted interchangeable tips. The wand hose is only 20 feet long. I tried a 50 foot, M22 connector pressure hose from a local store, and it leaked at the fittings. It turns out that the Sun Joe fitting is slightly different. So get the 25 foot extension pressure hose from Sun Joe. It's a good deal!
Pros: Ease Of Assembly, Individual Pattern Tips, Low Vibration, Reduced Noise, Style/Design, Weight, Handling/Manueverability, Features, Quality Cut, Quality Construction, Easy To Use
Cons: Must Buy Junjoe Pressure
I would recommend this to a friend!

Leaks

This washer works well but weakest link is the leeaking water inlet. The inlet is 3/4" NPT which is not for water hose.the adapter furnished is realy lame & continueousily leaks. Now I have to improvise & come up with a metal aadapter. Who thiought of the bad idea of milling flats on vboth sides if 3/4" outlet? This guarantees a leaking connection. DUH Don Poe
