It punches alright.The problem with it is that it gets stuck sometimes.
Previous one hole punch broke after about 6 monthsso I'm hoping this one (cheaper because handle is metal) will work better

The first use widened a professionally drilled hole so I needed to see the previous hole. This unit allowed clear vision the only one of three devices to let that happen.

Staples 1-Hole punch all 3 broke in one

Purchased three of these for a school project us moms are working on for the kindergateners and they all broke the first day. Can not punch more then one page. I had to return them all yesterday to staples.
