Staples 1-Hole BARELY Punch

I wanted to replace the 1-hole punch I've had for 30 years because I assumed by this point it had dulled and a new one would do the trick quicker easier and more accurately. I picked up the Staples brand 1-hole punch for a buck because I thought how can I lose? Not only was it new but it had a nifty pocket to hold the paper bits it had just cut. Very tidy. When I tested the punch on a piece of copy paper I discovered that I wasted my dollar. It was tough to punch through and once it did the hole wasn't cleanly punched. Piece of junk. It's now in a bag waiting to go to Goodwill.

I was able to use this product for a bulk mailing requiring gift tags. After repeated hole punching I experienced no hand fatigue.

This was just what I needed to punch a single hole in the corner of business cards I am using as price/name tags on some clothing for sale. Easily goes through the card stock and easier than trying to line it up in my 3 whole punch (also from Staples).

This was a quick purchase for a project. I was surprised at the cost and how easy it was to get. I like the fact that there is a catch for the holes that are punched out. That makes it nice and easy to keep the mess together. The emptying of the holder is easy. This was a relplacement for a paper punuch that was worn out. I expect this to last loger the the original one di.

This unit is well built inexpensive and works great. I use it mostly to punch holes in thin cardboard. Cardboard is tough but this hole puncher cuts through it with no problem and leaves a clean hole. What more can I say?
