DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! Shop else where or get a different pair. I love shopping at Staples for some of my office/school needs but I was so overly disappointed in this product. I purchased this hole punch to use punching holes in paper. Simple enough. It is a hole punch. It is supposed to punch holes in paper. Sadly this particular pair did not work so well for me. In fact they barely worked at all. With time short for me to finish my project I tried my best to make it work but had to use excessive force and cut the holes the rest of the way as the punch only worked 3/4 of the way.

I had to put holes in cardboard and this hole puncher made nice clean holes worked great!

Hole punch is not very durable. Even with a limit of 5 sheets it goes out of alignment and becomes inoperable.

Didn't work for anything thicker than a couple pieces of paper

I was trying to punch holes in a coated piece of paper and the this punch only perforated the paper and the hole did not come out. This one was a waste of my money and I had to buy a different one.
