This is my 10th Staples Record Book. I am a consultant who spends 5-8 hours a day on the phone with clients. All or my notes are in the record book and I keep a separate spreadsheet to index every call. The Staples Record Book has 300 numbered pages so my index points to the page and I can go straight there.

Everything I need and nothing I don't

My work team shares one of these to document phone calls to a desk where we rotate duties. The lines are a good height pages are durable and I like that each page is numbered. I just wish the cover didn't scratch so easily -- they always look beat up when I buy a new one at my local store.

Excellent for Professional Notes

I have been using these books for years and continue to love their strength and reliability. I use these constantly at work to take notes during meetings. The book is professional looking sturdy and rugged. Only thing I could ask for would be an attached bookmark of some sort.

I suppose I'm old school (ancient school?) at this point but I've used these and books like them to record meetings phone calls site visits design sketches etc. since the early 80s. Much preferred to multiple pads floating around. For what it is worth they typically last me about 6 months. They hold up well (I've had cheap version that don't last) and I regularly backtrack a few days or a few weeks to check things. Somehow laptops and tablets don't work the same way at least for me. Perhaps the ability to skim through visually?

A Great Journal product

In today's world of keeping journals this Record book is perfect! The high quality paper makes it possible to use my favorite roller ball pens without worry about the ink showing through on the other side. The classic binding makes this simple but elegant journal appropriate for all types of uses.
