Incredibly Disappointed!!

Just brought my new knife home from the hardware store. As I was attempting to unscrew the knife, the screw refused to turn, the screwdriver slipped and gashed my thumb. After I patched myself up, I did manage to open the knife. The screw was stripped and unusable. When I tried to fit a blade in the holder, it wouldn't fit. Even if I wanted to tape the knife together, it is totally unusable!
I have several planes that my father and grandfather used. I still use and trust these quality tools. It seems to me, that you are not up to the same standards. I would not even rate this as one star! You have just lost a lifelong customer!

Absolutely great

Best I've ever used. After using one of these for years on constructions sites and never having a problem, I had to get myself a new one after moving into the automotive industry. I can't understand how other people work with cheap knives, complain about them, but carry on. As to other reviews concerning putting it together or taking it apart - I'm sorry, but it's dead simple and well engineered. If you have troubles with that screw, I can't imagine how you would deal with others, whatever your industry is.
I have to say I use the made in the UK one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

6 inch Classic 99

I have 3 classic 99 1 is a utility knife,the other 2 are used for marking knifes left and right,the blades are re-sharpen with a single bevel works great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only razor knife I'll use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Stanley Classic 99 is the only razor knife I'll use. If only I could keep track of them, lol. I always misplace them and I'll buy a couple more to replace the one I lost. Only to find the one I lost a few days later. Long lasting CLASSIC knife. I dont need all the fancy easy blade change, flip knives on the market.
