The noise cancellation is the best but the headphones are less than 6 months old and the side buttons already stopped working - come to find out, I'm not the first to have this happen too.

Noise cancellation is not up to mark. When I'm in meetings, people on other side still hear background noise.

We regret to hear that you are not satisfied with the noise canceling function of the headphones. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. For optimum performance, make sure that the software version of the headset is up-to-date (via the Sony Headphones Connect app).
The Sidetone function's effect makes it easier to talk using the headphones and helps the headphone microphone pick up sounds and play your voice naturally. As a result, the noise canceling function works differently from when playing music.
If you hear ambient sounds, headphone operational sounds, or white noise (a slight electrical noise with continuous static sound) from the headphones, that is also an effect of the Sidetone function, not a malfunction.
Noise cancellation doesn't transfer during telephone calls. Although it protects the headphones user from the surrounding noise, it doesn't apply to the receiver of the call: they will potentially hear background noise.
As a workaround, you can check the settings of your source device or the app that you are using for mic sensitivity if available.

I bought this last month and they’re very good headphones. I use them daily and the noise cancellation is amazing. I also love the color and comfort of these.

Have these in blue and when I saw the sale I couldn’t resist the silver! I have always loved Sony for audio, all the way back to the wired days. I have some from 25 years ago that still work. That’s why I was confident in getting both pairs of this model. Great for flights, commute on public transportation and they even drowned out the loudest guy at my office (thank GOD!). I don’t see these getting replaced any time soon.

I needed noise canceling headphones to work at my noisy hub that would block out traffic noise but still allow me to hear if I needed to. But that wasn't the biggest hurdle in shopping, they also had to fit my head for long term wear. This was literally The Only Brand that hit all the marks! And while the need for sound to be great was lower on the list of necessities, these deliver excellent audio. Long battery life, great packaging for safe storage, and I've worn them for hours at a time with no headache or sore scalp or sweaty ears. They were a gift so price point wasn't an issue, but so far I feel they're worth every dime. Hopefully they last.

I just got my pair of these today, and they are very much worth it for the price tag which might be a bit unethical to some, but the quality of this product very much makes up for it! The noise cancelling is great and I haven’t got to use the controlling ability for it yet but I am very much expecting it to not let me down. The only downsides I would have so far are that these headphones easily catch and pull out hair and the bass is very heavy and drowns out sound quality a bit, but that’s adjustable in the app they provide which also lets you make your own equalizer! Other than that everything else is excellent and very much worth the price!

This headphones could not connect directly to my iPod and required me to install the Sound Connect app on my Galaxy S22 phone. It would then only work as the 2nd paired device and also required that I leave Bluetooth activated my phone, otherwise the connection to my iPod would drop.
