Great sound, poor comfort

I love these headphones. Such great sound and noise cancelling. Unfortunately the headband is the most uncomfortable I have ever tried, and I can't listen to them for more than 10 minutes without getting a sore head.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Sound but confusing touch controls

Sound is clear and comfortable. Noise canceling is great and the ability to recognize you are walking and allowing ambient sound to pass through is a great feature. Product would be excellent if I could get the touch controls to be responsive, often resort to one device controls because the touch controls are so spotty.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The noise cancelation and sound quality are amazing! It's also very comfortable. I'm still considering more expensive Sony headphones for better sound though.

Noise Cancelling: Very good. As with all ANC headphones, you can tell that it is on. Have used on airplanes and while using a leaf blower. It does a good job minimizing ambient noises
Call Quality: Poor. Sitting in a quiet room or walking outside on a calm day, several people have commented on the level of background noise or how hard it was to hear my voice. Sony needs to improve the background noise cancellation for phone calls.

Best ANC and comfort, not so great phone calls

Pros: Best ANC, usage comfort, features, battery - comparing to some mid level competitors like Sennheiser 4.5BT - there is no comparison at all honestly in Sonys favor.
Cons: There is only one really. Phone calls in quiet environment are good but when there is quite noisy Sony doesn't cope well. Mics harvest too much ambient noise and people on the other side complaints very often. If Sony can fix this with firmware and isolate Your voice like Bose 700 can, it will be great!
Unknown: will it be compatible with PS5...

To get the most out of your WH-1000XM4, download the Sony | Headphones Connect App. It includes Adaptive Sound Control-which automatically adjusts noise canceling based on your activity and an equalizer-which can be customized to fine-tune your music. Using our advanced noise canceling technology, we designed these headphones so you can block out noise and experience next-level silence. Plus, you have the ability to use the convenient smart features including Quick Attention, Google Assistant/Alexa/Siri compatibility, and touch controls. You can also switch the multipoint connection (Connect the headset to 2 devices simultaneously) on/off setting.
