NO wireless charing

I'm bought this last year and in general its works good. Sometimes it doesn't work properly while connected with mi laptop. Also, at least for me, aren't really comfortable in my ears. After 45 minutes - one hour of use its feels uncomfortable, and the ears starts to hurt. And, for the price the case should include wireless charging!, it doesn't include!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Sound

I never thought I would buy wireless headphones for playing music. I thought you would get better sound quality out of wired headphones. I was wrong. And the best thing about these headphones is the Audio Bluetooth Codec's that are supported A2DP connection: SBC, AAC, and LDAC. so if you have Hi definition records you can listen to them at their full fidelity
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Option for Multi Use

I LOVE these headphones, I like how versatile they are. i use them for gaming (wired mostly) and I have used them for video editing (both wired and wireless). I have had some stuttering and sound distortion when connected wireless to my Razer Blade (2021) when listening to Spotify. Not sure what this could be from, some input from Sony may be needed, but this has been my only real issue as of yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this because it was recommended for its sound quality, which I think is the best, but I am stunned beyond belief with the quality of its microphone. Nightmares.. is the only word to explain my shock.

I work at a video conferencing company and work from home currently, so my headset and noise cancellation are super vital for my daily worklife. The speak-to-chat feature is extremely inconvenient and threw me off at first but once I disable it (either through the app or 2 fingers on the right headphone) it got way better. Pros: covering right headphone turning off noise cancellation is very convenient especially with wife and kids coming through the home office all day. Noise cancellation is some of the best I've encountered on a headset. Cons: The noise cancellation is so good I never hear my wife enter the room and she has figured that out and uses it as an excuse to scare the ever living crap out of me.... so some may also see this as a Pro. The only other thing is the speak to chat was very annoying and probably should be off by default.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great sound, but the mic performance falls short

I just purchased these hoping they would not only be great headphones, but great for phone calls as well. The noise canceling feature for me is very good, and better than that of my Apple AirPod Pros, which are decent. The sound quality is quite similar, but I did notice the ability to get louder with these than the AirPod Pros. However, when I called my sister to try out both headsets to compare performance, these Sony headphones were not good. I sounded clear and crisp to her, but they let in so much of the ambient background noise that it was very loud and distracting to her. In comparison, my AirPod Pros let in very little, so that there was no distraction and no issue for her. Those also made my voice sound as crisp and clear as these. What surprised me the most was when I put my iPhone Xs Max on speakerphone, the built-in mic on the phone filtered out just as much as the AirPod Pros, which was again WAAY more than these Sony headphones. That was a very pleasant surprise for my phone's speakerphone, but unfortunately a big disappointment for these Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones. To be clear, the call was made directly through my iPhone, no other apps involved, so nothing else can be blamed but the headphones themselves.
I do enjoy the app and many features of the headphones: having the speak-to-chat option, being able to connect to 2 devices at once, pausing when the headphones are taken off, being able to silence everything and hear the ambient noise by merely putting my hand over the right earphone. Plus the voice of the assistant is very pleasant. They also seem quite comfortable to wear so far. There's a little pressure on the top of my head (I have a larger than average head), but the cups are wide enough that they side around my ears and cause no pressure or discomfort there. If it weren't for the mic issue on calls, these would be incredible headphones! Unfortunately the mic issue is just too BIG to overlook. One of my main reasons for purchasing these was to have great headphones with a great mic. I need these for work calls and videoconferencing most of the work day. I can't have headphones that don't have a good mic on them. Sony, how could you make such a great product, but drop the ball on the call mic? I will be returning these.

Great Bose alternative

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are like me, you're deciding between these 1000XM4's or the Bose 700, and after using both, I can definitely see the appeal in these. Battery life and ANC are stellar in these sets of headphones, and audio quality is great as well! Design is rather subdued, but in a good way. These are comfortable headphones with ample padding without getting too heavy, and a case that makes it smaller to pack than the Bose 700. I wish these Sonys had better audio pickup for phone calls, as it doesn't quite stack up to the 700s. What it does bring to the table is great overall package, specs to beat, and a good price to match. As for the comparisons between this or the Bose 700, you really can't go wrong with either, but it should end up being a design choice and whether or not call pickup quality is value high on your list.
