Awesome noise cancelling

These headphones are great, I bought them hoping to block out basketball noise from the next door neighbours and they really work, lifesavers!! Can't even hear them when I have them on. Worth every penny!

Glad the noise cancelling works for me

I would give it a 4.5 stars on this product. I'm pretty satisfied with the noise cancelling effect. It's not 100% perfect but I would say it's 90% effective. I bought this because there's a big construction just right across the street and it has been very bothersome for years.
Two things I want to metion is that it would be nice to have this EXPENSIVE headphone ($499.99+tax) can be returned for a refund if it didn't work out because with the three bestbuy I went to, the display one was stolen. It would be a total waste of money if it didn't work out in noise cancelling. Glad, it did.
Another thing I want to mention is the connection of the Bluetooth is not very smooth and it's quite inconvenient that it has to link to my phone first then my computer since we need to set up the headphone from phone apps. Other than that, I would say it's a good product that I would recommend.

Very disappointing for the price

They sound good, but the option to connect to 2 devices is unreliable and lacks of options. If you are in a Teams or Zoom meeting and your phone rings, you lose the conversation to hear only your phone. But if you decide to use it only with your computer, you have no way to change the options, since there's no app for PC. So if it resets itself, and it does sometimes for no reason, you have to go in settings to disconnect it from your PC and then pair it with your phone, so not very simple. With my Beats, I only have to pair it with a new device and it automatically unpairs from the device it was on, but Sony can't do something so simple.
One of the reasons why you'll want to go in settings is because there's a feature called Speak-to-Chat that mutes the headphones every time you speak... and this stupid feature is ON BY DEFAULT! Imagine that on a Teams meeting. It's so frustrating that if my return delay wasn't passed, I would gladly return them for a refund.
Also, I bought the XM4 instead of the XM3 because the microphone is supposed to be way better. I never tried to make a call with the XM3, but no one hear me when I try with mine, so the extra money didn't worth it.
On a positive side, the noise cancellation is very good, so I added a star.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Spend your money elsewhere

They feel very cheap, the adjustable band moves to easily. The sound quality is fantastic as long as you stay below 3/4 volume, keep in mind they don’t go they loud. When you turn the volume past 3/4 the bass starts to crack, at that point the bass sounds like hits on plastic buckets. The noise canceling is not as good as my old Bose headphones. The adaptive sound control cuts in and out, it’s extremely frustrating. Luckily you can turn it off in the app. I downloaded Tidal to try the 360 reality audio and it improves the sound a bit but it’s not worth $20 a month for Tidal hifi plus to use so it is hardly a selling feature. I got the extended warranty pushed on me and it doesn’t cover accidental damage which is the only reason to get it so don’t make that mistake. I wish I had bought some beats instead, at least they would go loud. In the end I am very unhappy with these $500 headphones and wish I could get my money back. I checked reviews before buying and I don’t understand how people are happy with these. I guess if you work or live in a quiet place and keep the volume around mid level you will be happy with these. Oh one more thing, if you turn the noise canceling off they sound like $10 headphones so don’t expect to be doing that

Love the clarity of sound and functionality. I listen to music daily and these are great for working out or whenever you need your in personal dj. Had the previous model of Sony & I love these more. Colour is perfect too.

these are very good they sound amazing quite a step up from my beats they have every option you could think of easy to set up. The sound is very pure highs are amazing bass is all you need good product expensive but in this case i got what i paid for,
