This is not a fast charger. The standalone puck does not hold a charge long and will not fully charge a phone. The wired puck emits a really high pitch sound. It is ok for an overnight charger but is not what I expected from OtterBox.

I bought this with two extra portable batteries and it cannot charge my phone fast enough to keep up with usage even with the case removed. A hamster on a wheel could charge my phone faster. Do not waste your money!

A couple months back I was desperately looking for a way to wirelessly charge my iPhone while in the case (Otterbox Defender). I texted the chat Tech at Otterbox who said the Otterspot will. I have a stack of 3 “bricks” that charge my iPhone flawlessly (with the case on).
Have to adjust the phone just as much as other wireless chargers. There is also a strange buzzing sound while not charging the phone and have to unplug the base so it doesn’t make any noise. Base plug does not go all the way in.

We recommend trying different outlets, charging blocks, or different cords to try and confirm the location of the sound. I am not thrilled with this product. There has been many times that I have placed my iPhone 12 on the platform only to find out that it had not charged in the morning. The iPhone 12 has to be placed just right on the charging surface in order for it to charge. This was a waste of money. I would not recommend this product.

Already returned. They don’t hold a charge. Not much point to them if you have to keep them plugged in. Such a shame, wife and I were looking for the perfect travel charger!

The Otterbox wireless charging discs are a great idea but unfortunately do not always work. You have to push a button on the disc and align your phone perfectly on them and will sometimes just stop charging your phone and you come back an hour later to a dead phone. I really like Otterbox and wanted this to be a sure thing but unfortunately just not reliable.
