Battery stopped charging

The battery stopped charging after 13 months. The charging pad works fine still, but I got this for emergency situations, like when the power goes out. The batteries seem to always be sold out, so there’s no way to replace it. Now this is kind of useless. Disappointed in Otterbox, from the reviews it looks like this isn’t an uncommon problem. I expected more.

they don't charge your device upon plugging in or wireless charging. Not a consistent wireless charge. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT

Battery life is horrible!

The wireless charging base is great on its own but the battery is horrible. I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra and it will only charge my phone 30-35% before it dies. I was expecting closer to a 75% to full charge for one use. It's still a good option in an emergency but I will stick to my regular phone cord at work now.

Just like their cases they’re charger works great About this unit after buying another one from a different company it would not charge through my defender case. However the outer spot charges through my defender case with no problem whatsoever. I’ll take the separate charging base to work with me. I am a fire fighter I can use it anywhere I need it and it’s always gives me a charge on my phone. Would highly recommend.

Mixed Feelings

I have 2 phones; an iPhone as use as a personal phone and a Samsung galaxy I use as my business phone. I’m a huge fan of Otterbox cases. I have and will continue to exclusively use them for all of my devices. I use the Defender Pro cases, but was having an issue charging my iPhone wirelessly when the case was on. I contacted Otterbox about this issue and they explained that it had to do with the thickness of the case and how some chargers can handle it and others can’t. This is when I first learned that Otterbox offers their own wireless charging station, which they assured me works with all of their cases.
Unfortunately, my experience is that this isn’t exactly accurate. I have the charging station as well as one extra battery. I love the concept and it works wonderfully with my Samsung. However; it still doesn’t work as intended with my iPhone. The extra battery rarely charges my iPhone at all (it usually doesn’t even realize anything is there) so I have to use the base charger, which is normally not a big deal. However, even the base charger is spotty. I have to get my phone set down just perfectly and, even so, there are mornings when I wake up to find that my phone didn’t charge at all. I know the problem isn’t with my phone itself, because removing the case allows it to charge perfectly.
My main point for leaving this review is that I’m hoping Otterbox will see it and use the feedback to improve the product. It’s still my favorite wireless charging station out there and I would hands down recommend it if you have a smaller case. However, I would think twice about purchasing this product if you use an Otterbox Defender Pro with an IPhone 12 ProMax.

I was excited to start using this system - DOA

The base unit seems to work but the additional battery was Dead on Arrival. doesn't charge, doesn't even pretend to charge, no current, no lights, nothing. I waited forever for it to even ship only to have it defective when it finally did arrive.

I was replacing my iPhone 6 with a new iPhone 12 series which supports wireless charging and I also always use a defender series case. Because of the case this Otter Box charger was recommended. This was a great purchase it charges my phone through the thicker case and I can grab a battery off the charger and bring it with me around the house.
