The Snow Joe was easy to use but only in snow a few inches deep. If there was more than 6" of snow, I found I had to skim over the top to remove the top layer of snow, then go over the same area again to completely remove all. It also was not easy to shovel the sidewalk as it had no directional use except to blow the snow ahead. I was plowing the snow I had just plowed a few feet back. Also, since my driveway is right next to the neighbors, all the snow I plowed going across my driveway, landed in the neighbors yard. Since I live on a hill, my driveway is steep and I can only plow across, instead of up and down.

Great Long Lasting Back Saver!

This shovel is great! No lifting required when you need to shovel snow. Like a snowblower, it's best on dry snow so don't put down ice melt before it snows. The one battery lasted longer than I did I cleaned a large 2 car driveway, large corner lot with public sidewalks, and front & back walks plus half the deck kand it still had one bar left on the charge. This was with 2 inches of snow. (I also have the 2 stage cordless Snowjoe snowblower for deeper snow which I also love.) . This shovel is easy to use - you can just push it like a vacuum cleaner and it really throws the snow!

Had 2 storms so far. First was 6" of snow followed by rain and then 1/2" of ice. The snow was so heavy even large snow blowers had trouble and this snow shovel wouldn't work. But the second storm was 8" of just snow and this shovel worked great. I cleaned off my deck and walk really fast, which was good cause it was almost 0 degrees after the storm so it was good to get back in the warm house. I would recommend this shovel because except for those rare storms like the first one we had, this shovel will work. And it will work great.

I bought this so I wouldn't have to shovel my walkway. I have a snow blower but can't get it over the one step at the end of my walkway, so was always shoveling by hand. This is a back saver. Only thing is that if the snow is too deep, it doesn't really work well. But I'm glad I bought it!
