Pleasantly Surprised

I had a corded electronic snow blower (15 inch) and it died after three winters and not many times of use. I was thinking not to buy another product, just to shovel by hand or to hire others to help. Then there was a Snow Joe corded snow blower which was 18 inch (I forget). When it arrived, I found the design did not fit me even though I adjusted every knob and screw. I sent it back eventually. Then I saw this little product. At first, I thought it was like a toy, but may be it was better than nothing. Then I read the reviews and decided I would try it. Wow! Pleasantly surprised! It shoveled much better than my corded blower and it was so so easy to use. It performed as it was described. It could blow the snow at least 10 feet tall and it performed very well with wet snow. (not if there is ice) It cleans the snow for my 4 car driveway so nicely. It was one of the best thing I ever bought. My first real test of shovel was 2020 Jan around the 3rd week when southern Ontario had a lot of snow. This little thing helped me so much. The battery could easily last for 30 minutes. I am a senior and appreciates the people who have reviewed this product, because they helped so much with my decision. I would highly recommend this to people especially senior. Thank you, Snow Joe for designing such a wonderful product and keeping us in mind.

Using the Snow Joe

This machine may work on a small deck with an inch or two of light snow, but fails miserably any where else. This is a waste of your money. I also have their electric power washer that works very well.

Makes the snow job, easy to do!

For many years I had been using a power shovel that was tethered to not A/C power outlet. Snow does not mean you have to stay at home. There are times you have to get out. When you use a power shovel it may be just snow when you start. But the weather changes over to rain. This has happened to me many times.. Being hooked up to an A/C power supply made me very nervous. Also the power cord was always getting in the way. The SnowJoe removed many of those worries and did the job with out any of those concerns! With it being small enough to take with me in my van and having it's own power. All the time if the battery has power. Makes it portable to go and help others with simmer problems. And not hurting my back with all the lifting of a manual shovel!

Well Worth It

Bought the 24v-ss10xr model;a month ago and finally today Jan.3rd finally got a chance to try it out. Had a couple of inches of snow which wasn't enough to take out my normal snow blower, what a surprise how quiet it ran, and easy and fast I completed my driveway with plenty of time left on my battery. Already been recharged for the next use. Hopefully the snowfall will be small again so I dont have to take out the big snow blower. Thank's excellent product.

Easy to use but...

The Snow Joe was easy to use but only in snow a few inches deep. If there was more than 6" of snow, I found I had to skim over the top to remove the top layer of snow, then go over the same area again to completely remove all. It also was not easy to shovel the sidewalk as it had no directional use except to blow the snow ahead. I was plowing the snow I had just plowed a few feet back. Also, since my driveway is right next to the neighbors, all the snow I plowed going across my driveway, landed in the neighbors yard. Since I live on a hill, my driveway is steep and I can only plow across, instead of up and down.
