Light weight, thin, buttons are easy for touch typing, layout is good. No issues with design or quality. Clear 17" screen. Quality product with features I ordered. Replaced HP Envy used for 10 years. Still working but slowing down with Windows 8. The 17z is a update replacement.
I am disappointed that I can no longer get an HP laptop with a built-in DVD player. And now that I have this one, I am baffled that HP has still not gone back to having an indicator light on the number keypad. It is really frustrating not to know it is off before I start keying numbers. I thought it was just an oversight on the first computer I found that problem on.
Also baffling to me is that on this new model, the power on/off is tucked in with the delete and backspace keys instead of safely out of the way in the upper left corner. What could possibly go wrong with that!?! How could anyone have thought that was a good idea?
If I had seen this model in a store instead of buying it online, I would have rejected it for either the power button location or the continuing lack of Num Lock light.
Bought the Laptop as a replacement for burnt out one. The laptop came early, it function like a normal everyday laptop. But the Color(black) is the problem. I have lint on the keyboard area and my stickers were crooked......Since I brought it...i would like it to be nice looking....and Support gave me the run around and no advice on how to clean it
I bought this laptop a short while ago. I have no complaints with it at all. Way faster than my old HP15, screen quality is a lot clearer and sharper. So far, it's a great computer
I saw this advertised on hpshopping.com and it was a fantastic price for a 17 inch computer. Other places would have charged twice the amount for an equivalent machine.
