It does seem pretty quick compared to others in this category. I wouldn't say that it stands out is lightning fast though. My main complaint is that I've had some issues with it locking up already. This has happened a few times without anything provoking it. Aside from that, I would recommend it if you are looking for a decent laptop in the mid-price range, but you may be making a couple of sacrifices.

I know it was a cheap laptop and it works for the most part. It chugs quite a bit when I have multiple spreadsheets open at the same time. The body material is very flimsy. The only positive comment is the 17” screen. You get what you pay for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very happy with product but the battery has been reset 3 times. Each time was at an update and always at a shutdown and restarting. So I make sure if it is doing update to plug it in and keep it on and plugged in until done. Working well right now waiting for the next update to see what happens.
