Wasn't sure what it would do in our wet heavy snow but it did just fine. 3 inches didn't slow it down. 4 inches later of the nice powder really showed what it can do. I had my doubts about it but no more. It's a back and time saver at our house. And the light is great.

Yes you have to keep track of the cord, but with two people it's not a problem. Still need the big gas, self-propelled snow blower for heavy duty, but we were pleasantly surprised at how much snow this could handle. Also easy to order, great price for value, and got it within a week!

Has lots of power, throws snow very far, we like that its easy to start and stop and that is very light to move around. Remember to use safety glasses as ice or hard items could fly out of the shoot. We can take it with us in the car/truck and not need to have fuel smell go along with it. Great price for this thrower as we have used it on snow that has been over a foot deep and would have taken longer with a shovel. Thanks Snow Joe

Bought based on reviews, tech specs and company reported reputation. Filed a report earlier outlining basis of purchase and my expectations. Since tested on just one snowfall - light snow with melted icey underlay - about 6 inches total. Machine performed very well including into higher accumulations. We've had bitterly cold weather but only 2 inch depth accumulations on average when it did snow - which I shovelled. Waiting for 10 plus inches of snow which will be a reasonable evaluation. Holding at 4/5 and could go 5/5 if it performs reasonably (ie: not perfectly). After this and reviewing parts availability with the manufacturer, will post final personal review.
