I've never had a snow thrower and the first opportunity I had to use this one was a few inches of heavy wet snow. At first I thought I'd just shovel as usual, thinking the Snow Joe would just choke on it. But after a few passes with the shovel I thought I'd give the thrower a try. Boy, am I glad I did. Took care of it in no time, even the salty slush at the end of the driveway. It's light enough that I can just carry it up the stairs and store it on the front porch. I'm sold.

Year 2, running well

I am in year 2 with this blower. It handles 8 inches of light fresh snow and could probably handle any depth of dry snow. Wet snow and the snow at the end of the driveway from the city plow is not as easily moved, but I did not expect this unit to do that work. I love that I don't worry about fuel, oil, and can easily lift the whole machine up over obstacles in the garage to get it in and out.

Mixed feelings

Needs too much force to push it due to rear-only wheels. It needs wheels in the front to help move it forward. Find that it keeps catching on the ground and I have to angle it upwards to get it to move again. Works well on light show but not well on heavier, wet snow.

Disappointment!!

Purchased this product to replace my gas blower as my yard just isn't that big, worked great the first time, broke the plastic scraper bleade on the second use, spoke with someone and luckily it was under warranty, fast forward 45 days later after having to shovel 2 storms so as not to break any further, and I cannot even get a representative to talk to me, let alone that I still haven't even got a shipping email so it should be summer before I can use my blower. Blower itself worked great when it did, customer service however is another thing, very much regretting this purchase

Great … while it works

I experienced the same failure as the anonymous reviewer above. We were delighted with the product over a couple of years of modest use. When it works, it works great. But today it stopped working. The the connection point between the power cable and the machine had frayed and eventually shorted out. (This was not due to improper use. In fact, I always held that cable in my hand when using the machine to prevent it from jostling and disconnecting the cable.)

I have a 100 ft. downhill driveway. Snow Joe SJ627E worked like a champ. Since the snow was so deep; I had to go very slowly. No more shoveling for me! Thanks Snow Joe!
SNOWJOE works great, I used it on our last snow fall that had freezing rain on top about a half inch. it went right through it without any problem. Great product
I had an a beat up old Toro power curve for years, finally the electric motor went toast on me, I thot I'll give snow Joe a try, like to pass my business around to smaller companies and it was way less expensive. Shipping was fast and putting together was easy. 4-6 inches of snow in the driveway my Toro would have handled easily. Even taking 1/2 or less of the width of cut it wasn't exactly blasting thru it. Headlights work almost 2 minutes. Now you get a flicker once in awhile. Don't get me wrong. For the price it beats shoveling, just not near as strong or efficient as the Toro.
