First electric snowblower. Very happy with ease of use. Just have to get used to having the cord at all times. Plenty of power for my use so far. 5-8 inches no problem. No more carb problems.yeah

Who needs gas?

This unit is just the right size for doing our driveway (1800 square feet). Used 6 times this season (not much snow on the west coast) so far and I have been impressed with it. I have not had a snow blower before; this one cut my driveway/ sideway clearing time by 2/3s compared to shoveling. Got to use it on wet and dry snow and it worked on both. Dozers through 6" without skipping a beat but works harder at 8". With 6" I could pretty much walk at a normal pace without slowing down and the unit just kept clearing snow. Make sure you cast snow off areas not cleared yet as the cast snow tends to compact the snow it lands on...that packed snow is not this units friend. The swivel handle for the chute works fine and is easy to reach while working. The cord hook could be bigger - I could not loop my heavy cord through it. The plastic construction worried me but it has made it through season one with nothing broken so here's hoping that continues. I would recommend this unit.
Light weight, easy for normal woman to operate and handle.

My first Snow Thrower!
on December 8, 2021

I spent two hours learning how to use my SJ627E while finishing removing an 8” snowfall of last week. I am 73 years old and pleased that I can still clear 8” off of my 2,000 square foot concrete driveway. Knowing that Snow Joe was due I left 500 sq. ft. and the snow plow berm.
Lesson: My outside convenience outlets are all on 15 Amp circuit breakers, and SJ627E is rated at 15 Amps, so it ran fine. Once Snow Joe is stopped the circuit breaker needs to cool for a moment in order to be able to handle the motor starting current.
Lesson: Snow Joe is a snow thrower and not an ice breaker. The snowplow berm of disturbed snow soon turns to ice and pressure ice. I won’t abuse Snow Joe like that again.
I am well pleased with a good value!

Amazing in 50+ inches snow bank

Jan 29 Boston got hit with a massive blizzard. This blower chewed up snow banks of snow up to 50 inches high just as well as the massive gas-powered ones. YOu have to find the art of the back and forth motion and raising of the plow to chew up really tall snow banks. I discovered that breaking up snow banks first by walking through them also helps. My deck got cleared down to the wood with zero scratches. Best $ I ever spent and a fraction of those heavy gas powered ones.

Awesome once you figured out your cable management

I live in Montreal where we are constantly blasted by big snow storm. I have a ~6 cars driveway. At first I got a small 40V snowblower from other manufacturer, and soon realized they are not made for the size of my driveway and the kind of snow we got here. For me high power battery powered snow blower with extra battery simply cost too much that I may as well just pay for snow removal service.
Then I realized I actually have a plug at my garage door so decided to give this Snowjoe a try. It works wonder and even with extension cable plus a cable reel it still cost way less than half of an equivalent cordless model. Not to mention unlimited run time when you are hit by those big storm.
The cable can be a bit annoying, but once I figure out a pattern to work so the cable doesn’t get in my way anymore it become very easy to use. Do note my CB breaker for the plug I am using for this blower did pop a few times. If you have an old house with old fuse box or electrical panel, or only have GFCI plug available maybe consider the 14.5 Amp model just to be on the safe side.

I've used this snow blower all season and its amazing ! Way better than expected !! Works in all snow conditions in a Canadian winter and I have a large 4 car driveway. Even cuts through the snow bank at the windrow that the City snow plough leaves behind.

I'm impressed with SnowJoe! This is just what I needed for my patio here in Colorado. What used to take me 2hrs minimum to shovel I can now take 6 inches of snow off in like 20 minutes.
