I wasn't sure how this would hold up with the snow we get here in North Dakota but I'm a believer now! We had a blizzard over the last few days - 27" of snow! I had drifts over 30" deep - I used the shovel to knock the snow down and then my Snow Joe to clear it away. If I would have had to use the shovel only it would have taken me days to clear all this snow, but with the Snow Joe I cleared my sidewalk and driveway in about 2 hours! I love this thing - no gas or oil and it starts every time!!!!
Equipped with lights and a switch for the lights, but the lights come on only when the electric motor is running! Not strong the engineer who consu lights as well!
Needs too much force to push it due to rear-only wheels. It needs wheels in the front to help move it forward. Find that it keeps catching on the ground and I have to angle it upwards to get it to move again. Works well on light show but not well on heavier, wet snow.
Bought this very reasonable priced electric snow blower Feb 2019. I truly was amazed at how well it worked this past winter. Handled everything from this winter. I was really on the fence about electric snow blower but after using mine on the first day all my concerns evaporated. Just had to get used to using the cord with it but after a couple of uses it I got it down. Love the fact of the almost zero maintenance. No oil or gas to have to deal with. I recommend this product 100%
I didn't want to mess with gas and oil from a regular snow blower so I went electric. This snow thrower has worked very well. Even when we just had over a foot of snow, this worked well. I did smaller rows but that was just fine. I got used to the cord quickly because I have a smaller Snow Joe snow thrower that worked so well, I decided to upgrade. I do like Snow Joe products.
I was a little sceptical of ordering an electric snow thrower when I live in Wyoming. But it worked great. The heavy Wyoming snow didnt even slow it down. Love my snow joe.
I had an a beat up old Toro power curve for years, finally the electric motor went toast on me, I thot I'll give snow Joe a try, like to pass my business around to smaller companies and it was way less expensive. Shipping was fast and putting together was easy. 4-6 inches of snow in the driveway my Toro would have handled easily. Even taking 1/2 or less of the width of cut it wasn't exactly blasting thru it. Headlights work almost 2 minutes. Now you get a flicker once in awhile. Don't get me wrong. For the price it beats shoveling, just not near as strong or efficient as the Toro.
