Excellent noise cancelling

After utilizing previous model Bose Earbuds, I consider myself a victim of the infamous spotty connectivity issue in both sport model and QC model Bose earbuds. A few weeks of utilizing the new QC Ultra earbuds and I have yet to have any connectivity issues.
Getting the elephant in the room out of the way, these earbuds have EXCELLENT noise cancelling capabilities paired with prestigious sound and build quality. I had an air purifier,, air conditioner and someone talking to me when I put these in and when the noise cancelling activated, it was only me and my music. That being said, tread lightly when utilizing these earbuds for working out as they will scuff or scratch very easily with the glossy material. I have yet to try them for steamy long runs on hot days or even the sauna as they are not built to last in those environments and I reccomend using these for at home, as a passenger princess or walking to and from classes. Nothing too strenuous unless you like to ruin $300 earbuds.
That being said, excellent earbuds all around but calling these "ultra" may be an overstatement as they are very similar to the previous model. Only time will tell if they truly are the Ultras they are put out to be and hopefully higher sound quality, build quality or innovation will be put into the QC lll's.

Love the new Ultra Earbuds!!

I received the QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds as part of a Sneak Preview. I have several Bose products including the previous generation of their earbuds. I use these earbuds for work and entertainment. The Ultras are even better than the previous version with the Immersive Audio. The two Immersive Audio Settings - Still and Motion are really cool to use and really expand the audio experience. The sound quality is great and the earbuds easily connect to a variety of devices. We even tried the earbuds out with our Bose Smart Soundbar to see how they would work for watching TV late at night. With the Immersive Audio Still setting, the sound from the Ultras really pops and make watching TV really fun. The Ultras work great for MS Teams or Zoom meetings and the microphone works perfectly with these sorts of meetings. These ear buds fit great, are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time and are simple to use and control. The earbuds work great while being active. I wear them hitting golf balls at the driving range to generate some quiet space for my practice. Last but not least the Quiet mode is spot on and really can remove noises and other sounds from disturbing the user.
Very impressed with these Ultra earbuds and am so happy to have them.

These earbuds are heaven

First of all, I have the older model of earbuds and those had fantastic sound. I was honored to be chosen to receive and review the Ulta Buds. There are no words to describe the richness of the sound of these earbuds. The immersice audio feature is EPIC!. Having the music move with your head provides a level of audio enjoyment that's beyond compare. My only little gripe is I was sent the white color and I prefer black but beggars can't be choosers. If you're on the fence about these earbuds don't be. Try them. You'll love them.

Great for music on walks, or chilling with a book

I've been using these earbuds for a few weeks now, and I am loving them so far. The fit is great, they don't feel heavy, and they stay snug and secure during long, fast walks.
I primarily use them for walking our dog (usually for about an hour), for listening to audiobooks at night, and to listen to music while shutting out the household noise when I'm writing. They are fantastic for all these scenarios. They have been extremely comfortable during long writing sessions. When walking my dog, I use the Outdoor mode, and I can always hear when there's a car coming up behind me.
Battery life has been impressive. I've never needed to stop and charge them in my daily use.

A Significant Step Forward.

I had been using Bose QC earbuds for a couple of years and was very happy with the performance. I had a hard time imagining that a new earbud would be different enough to make me invest in an upgrade but Bose really delivered with the new QC ULTRA earbuds. The first thing that I noticed was a change in the shape of the earbuds and the way they fit the ear. I found that the seal was much more secure on the new ultra earbuds, they fit my ear better and were more comfortable. The other new feature that I just loved was Immersive Audio. The additional depth of sound in the motion setting and the directionality in the still setting added so much richness to the quality of sound and really enhanced my enjoyment, particularly when listening to music. I still preferred the quiet setting for Podcasts or Audiobook listening. The final feature that I had in my other earbuds but found myself using more in the Ultra earbuds was the ability to decide which shortcuts you wanted programmed into your earbuds. I found this feature especially nice in controlling the additional new features. Overall, I loved the new earbuds and feel that the new features are significant enough to more than justify the upgrade.

Silence is golden

I have been using my Bose earbuds almost daily for several weeks and I still cannot get over how nice they are and how practical they have been. Firstly, I work in a lab, and I have genuinely stopped noticing over the years that my workplace is SO loud. There are dozens of fans and motors within earshot anywhere I might be working. These earbuds brought such unexpected, blissful, near total quiet. It genuinely feels like a luxury to be able to focus so well. I enjoy the silence so much, I often don’t even play anything, but when I do, the sound is very clean and immersive. I don’t have to keep turning it up because they tune out the noise I am surrounded with, unless I put them in the “Aware” mode - not my favorite, but it’s good to have the option.
I also like going to the gym and I like that QC Ultra feel very secure in my ears when I move. My husband instantly fell in love with my pair, so I guess that means I know what I am getting him for Christmas this year.

The best ANC earbuds just got better

I received these to review through the My Bose Sneak Peek program.
I’ve been a dedicated user of Bose ANC earbuds since the QuietComfort 15s. I have a medical condition that means I struggle with hyperacusis (sound sensitivity). ANC earbuds are absolute lifesavers for me.
Before receiving these to review, I was using the QuietComfort II’s daily. I considered them to be the best ANC buds on the market in terms of the quality of noise canceling and sound quality. I mention the QuietComfort II’s because the Ultras are extremely similar to them. The outer hardware is nearly identical, the fit is the same, the sound (in standard mode) seems the same, the ANC seems the same. The II’s are fantastic earbuds, so these are all compliments. I’ve tested the Ultras in a wide variety of environments with a wide variety of audio, and they should impress those who need the most robust ANC as well as audiophiles. They helped me get through a broken fire alarm going off mistakenly for far too long, which speaks to how excellent the ANC is.
The big upgrade for the Ultras is the immersion mode. Earbuds, especially ANC earbuds, generally suffer from sounding “closed off.” They’re the polar opposite of openback headphones for obvious reasons. Immersion mode does a pretty remarkable job of making earbuds that shouldn’t be able to sound open do exactly that. I found it particularly shined when I was playing a video game that utilized spatial audio to its full potential. It is a lovely feature to have, with the downside that it drains the battery even more than quiet mode does.
The QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds are a nice update on an already great product. I highly recommend to anyone who doesn’t have the QCII’s. That being said, if you already have the QCII’s, I’m not sure it’s worth the cost to upgrade just for immersion mode. Though If you need to have the best ANC buds on the market, these are definitely them.
Very small note—I wish Bose had dropped these with some interesting color variants. Given that the hardware and features are so similar to the QCII’s, it would have been a nice perk for upgrading. The color variant used for the Normani collab would have been great for this.
Wanted to add a picture of my ear with the Ultra Earbuds in for my fellow pierced friends! As you can see, I have many ear piercings, including a daith on both ears. With the customizable ear tips and fins, I can get a great fit and seal.

Amazing Headphones!

I've been using the Bose ultra earbuds for a while now, and they're pretty awesome! One of the ways I use them is for my daily workouts. They stay securely in place and the sound quality is top-notch, which keeps me motivated during my exercise sessions.
Now, let's talk about the pros and cons. On the positive side, the sound quality is amazing, with deep bass and clear highs. The earbuds are also comfortable to wear for extended periods, thanks to their ergonomic design. Another big advantage is the long battery life, which means I can enjoy my music without worrying about running out of juice.
On the downside, the price of the Bose ultra earbuds is a bit higher compared to some other options.
